Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) attacks student rally over DU accident
As the news of the accident spread on the campus, angry students
brought out a procession and set ablaze the car and vandalised 10
other private cars and a pick-up van at TSC
Unruly activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Thursday
attacked on the students of Dhaka University who staged demonstration
following the injury of their fellow student in an accident.(The Daily
Star )
Police also charged baton on the agitating students and picked up
two--Md Sabbir of IER and Nazmul Huda of Hotel and Tourism
Department--after BCL cadres gave them a heavy beating when the
students vandalized vehicles over a death row of the injured student.
Sadhan Kumar Gosh, a 4th year student of Psychology Department of the
university received severe injuries after a private car hit him from
behind while he was crossing the road near Teacher-Student Centre
(TSC) intersection at about 12:30pm.
He is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and
his condition is stated out of danger, said a doctor of his in charge
to The Daily Star.

When the procession reached near Rokeya Hall, the BCL activists
attacked on it and hurled indecent language urging the students to
refrain from any demonstration.
Police also picked up the car driver – Rubaiya Haque Tanni, a student
of Dhaka City College and four others who were riding on the car
