Re: [mukto-mona] FW: An older mail Fwd: JURONJIT DA Pls do not remove "Faith on ALLAH" form our constitution

The communal hound dogs howling after Suranjit Sengupta without any solid reason, and only because he is a Hindu.

>>>>>>>> Again, it is NOT a Hindu or Muslim issue. It is an issue of alleged corruption.

I said it at least four times that, Mr. Sen Gupta is innocent UNTIL he is proven guilty. As a public figure and a political figure he has shown respect to democratic process and removed himself from investigation. There are other allegations about some other ministries as well. The real question should be posed to our government, why aren't we investigating "Padma bridge project" and other allegations? Why corrupt leaders wield so much power over our popular leaders?

Government should be thanked
for making the "Correct" decision about Mr. Sen Gupta. Still it begs the question, why are we letting other "Corrupt" leaders go?

BAL claims to be a "Secular" party and markets itself as "Different" from BNP [ Which is not exactly a religion based party but worked with  religion based parties among others]. If Mr. Sen Gupta was picked on by our current administration for his faith ( Personally I do not feel that way), that should be proven by those who make the allegation and they should come forward and talk about it. Every citizen of this country has to be treated fairly. Their faith back grounds should not matter in court of justice!!

Corruption is not a silly matter for a resource starved country like Bangladesh. We cannot effort to look the other way anymore. SOME corrupt officials are putting serious dent on a popular party like BAL and damaged another popular party like BNP in a serious way. So the highest political offices should take note and follow up with necessary action.

My personal experience says, communal ism is a popular tool for some politicians NOT to common people of Bangladesh. Specifically Mr. Sen Gupta has a lot of clout in current administration. But the allegations of corruption in his ministry, his son getting gateway license for 5 crore taka and opening a mulch-storied market at the SAME time is not helping him (His image) in front of common people.

Still we should respect the process and hold our judgements until he is given a fair chance to explain himself in front of citizens who elected him to take care of us.

As I said in an earlier post, a robust police administration and court system can protect people of all faiths in Bangladesh. So instead of blindly supporting political parties, we have to unite and support good causes to make our country a better place to live for our future generations.

Shalom!

We should reduce our tolerance level for this crude communalism.  This constant drumbeat of HINDU India and MUSLIM Bangladesh helps to erode away the fundamental value of our war of Liberation for a new country -- Bangladesh -- away from the falsely constructed 2-nation theory. The whole idea of Bangladesh -- and the valiant fight for our self-determination in 1971 is negated by these communalist rabble-rousers.

Will the Awami League hold its head up high and make a courageous stand against this BNP/Jamaat bullying tactics?

                           STOP communalism NOW!

Our beloved Prophet did not put 'bismillah' on the Madina Charter because he respected the sentiments of people of other faiths.

Dear Alochok,

Could you clarify your post for us please?

As far as I understand, it is Islamic practice to start with " In name of Allah....." before we start anything important. Constitution is important for us. I do not see any contradiction ( From religious point of view) in leaving it like it is now. I think BAL leaders are doing the right thing here.

Appreciate your attention.

Shalom!

Dear Alochok,

Good point and post. I could not remember if the Medina charter had "Bismillah" or not. I thought it did. The pact of hudaibiya did not have it [ Actually it was removed after the Meccan opposed to it!]. Help me out here. Are you sure you are talking about Medina charter or Hudaibiya peace treaty?

I checked couple of sources both said "Bismillah" was in the Madina charter.

As I mentioned before, it really does not matter to me if it was there or not. Since we had it for a while, I do not see any logical reason to remove it. In Bangladesh very people pay attention to our rights or constit ution. It is there to show "Foreign donors" that we have one!

We only honor constitution when we follow it and honor it. Neither big political parties gives a hoot about what is good for average people of Bangladesh. This important topic has been reduced to an academic debate. Let us see who wins.....

Shalom.

Those whose "faith" in Almighty Allah depends on destroying and mocking the  Constitution of a democracy are the worst betrayer of faith in Allah, the ideals of His message (the holy Qur'an) and the idealism of His messenger, Muhammad (pbuh). In their pretension of "faith" they are committing Kufr, so they are the true Kafirs.

There is strong interdiction in the Qur'an against using or invoking Allah's name in acts of falsification, and in this case, betraying the trust of millions of people. [Sura Hud: Ayat 18].

There is also the sunnah -- the idealism of the Prophet -- 'amal-e-tawatur-- which means the acts performed by Rasool-e-karim (pbuh) and that have been f ollowed over the ages without break.  Our beloved Prophet did not put 'bismillah' on the Madina Charter because he respected the sentiments of people of other faiths.   As Islam became a global religion, despite the bad name and lies spread by the West against Islam, a Muslim ruler never mistreated subjects belonging to other religions.

Any idiot, blinded by communalism, who thinks India is a land of Hindus only, is without a speck of doubt, a paid chamcha of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar. India's Hindu fanaticism is a negative model for us to take heed.  We want to have a better Constitution than the one India has.  No political party based on religion. Period.

Dear Aminul

You have rightly  said Quote  :But suronjit Da should mind it that it is not the last perliament.:Unquote
The people Bangladesh knows when n where to do what since they do not have iota of faith on the crooked politicians who serve the interest of their master beyond thew border n feel proud destroying thy nation n country.

Dear all,
mr suronjit sen gupta is the key person to change or ammend the constitution of Bangladesh.
The  main objective of  india or pro indians in Bangladesh is to remove 'Faith on Almighty Allah "from the constitution.
They have many Khairul n Kamrul for that.
