Not that I would justify any thuggery of by the police officers but that has been the standard practice by many of our dictatorial and "democratic" regimes of the past. People conveniently forget the gruesome killing of whole Mujib family including a small child. Some people are still having bloody orgasms the way our four founding leaders were killed in Dhaka jail. Many great freedom fighters were butchered because they did not bow their heads to the criminal dictators of the past. Some scoundrels would love to forget those bloody days of Bangladesh because they think that was totally legit? I bet they would like believe that only BNP/Jamat can deliver us a perfect Jeffersonian democracy with heavenly harmony? Give me a break!
Now that the table has been turned around and some overzealous Awamis pinching and punching back, all hell has broken loose?
Let's look at our former interior minister Lutforzaman Babar's creative work during his tenure. If any regime can appoint such monster as the head of an interior ministry, who needs law and order? According to him Bangla Bhai was only a fiction and the grenade (supplied by his ISI friends) attacks in public meetings and cultural functions were the work of the Awamis for its own suicide? Let's forget about Tareque's toll collection scheme through HAWA-BHAVAN. The quickest way to create millions from Hawa (air)!
The point is, an ugly black pot should not call a kettle black! Killings and thuggery have been the part and parcel of our four decades' history.
Hardly, anything to gloat about. And, it would be wishful thinking to see the practice to vanish anytime soon.
People, who have committed crimes against our people, need to be prosecuted and punished no matter which party they belong to!! Without that being done right, the violence will go on. The new Jeffersonian party comprising of BNP, Jamat and War criminals would perform exactly as it's contents suggest. But, I am open minded and would be ready for a surprise!

They are not fair and impartial! Here are some examples and personal experiences.

I thanked and welcomed the Editor and concerned reporter (Mr. Arup Datta) of the daily Prothom Alo for an investigating report on some unauthorized house construction (violating RAJUK rules) by an ex (not current) Awami League MP (local leader only, not any top central leader) few years back (in 2010).

After that,
I wrote and requested through couple of e-mails to the Editor and concerned reporter for an investigating report on unauthorized construction (violating RAJUK rules) of Jamat leader Golam Azam's (8 storied) house, at Mogh Bazar, Dhaka.
�
It was apparent that Go Azam�s house was built violating RAJUK's rule, permission and deviated from the RAJUK's approved drawing.
�
But, most unfortunately and most regrettably � up to now - not a single report had been made by the daily Prothom Alo on Go Azam�s house (8 storied) was built violating RAJUK's rule, permission and deviated from the RAJUK's approved drawing.

Another example,
Do you know the Editor of the Prothom Alo is very courageous, daring and desperate against Sheikh Hasina (and Awami League as a whole)?
Previously he was editor of weekly �EKOTA� of CPB (Awami League ally)!

But Mr. Moti is very much afraid and weak to Ms. Khaleda, Mr. Go Azam, Dr. Bad Choudhury, Coln Oli, Khatibs of Baitul Mukarram and many more!

Editor of the Prothom Alo openly called Sheikh Hasina a �liar�.
Though many reputable person and organisation had seriously protested and condemned that comments of PA editor Mr. Matiur Rahman.
