Re: [mukto-mona] Are all religions great?

You are right there are countless books on Atheism, like many religious scriptures. Unfortunately, most people will never read those books.

I am talking about all those practicing atheists; they need to reflect their belief through their deeds. But, the deeds - they present turn people off. Atheists are very busy during Christmas time in the USA. They have almost successfully removed all religious statues and symbols from every government facilities. They have almost taken Christmas decorations and music out of all shopping malls, schools and colleges. They are portrayed as "scrooges," who block fun out of children's lives during Christmas time. They are modern day scrooges. That's my personal observation only.

To me it's very simple. Those who do not believe in God or religion have better opportunity to promote tolerance, assimilation, humanity, and humility in the society. They should be part of a human-religion, which should welcome everybody, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Unfortunately, they show quite the opposite characteristics. You are right; they should read Buddhism instead, and learn from it.

"Atheists have never been able to explain how Atheism is a better option for mankind than a conventional religion."- that is untrue.  There are countless authors on the subject; to name a few I would suggest Baron Holbach, Voltaire, Hume, Durkheim, Bakunin, Machiavelli, Russell,  etc. To fool the common people, the believers have always propagated lies in the name of God.  They even put "In God we trust" on the currency, and like the dollar their faith decimates over time.
