Dear Friends,
On behalf of Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI), we cordially invite you, your family, and friends to join the 4th Annual Conference on Child Rights and Sight taking place Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Please join us for a day of engaging and informative presentations addressing the topics of child rights, poverty and health, followed by a relaxing evening of networking.
The Conference on Child Rights & Sight is organized by DCI in partnership with Yale UNICEF and Rights & Sight for Children to coincide with Child Rights Week and World Sight Day. It brings together leaders from the fields of child rights, global health, international development, and social entrepreneurship to:
- Discuss the nature of child poverty in the 21st century and promote awareness of children's rights in local, national, and international communities
- Provide a forum for discussing creative, community-driven methods for addressing child labor, hunger, poverty and blindness throughout the world
To date, this year's speakers include President of the UNICEF Executive Committee Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen and other leading national and international experts in the fields of children's rights, blindness prevention and child poverty. Additional speakers will be posted on DCI's conference website (www.distressedchildren.org) as they are confirmed.
