৭ মার্চের জনসমাবেশে নির্বাচন-বিজয়ী শেখ মুজিবকে যে বলতে হয়েছিল, 'এবারের সংগ্রাম মুক্তির সংগ্রাম, এবারের সংগ্রাম স্বাধীনতার সংগ্রাম...' সেখানে আমাদের অনেকের কানে ওই 'এবারের' শব্দটিতে ছিল বেদনার্ত অতীতের স্মৃতিব্যাকুল দ্যোতনা। অনেকবার তো হলো, আর কত? ২৬ মার্চের স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণা তাই এমনই স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত!
