The practice is not out of fashion. There are allegations that Jamat spends millions of dollars to buy the support of the US lobbyists. They are pretty successful too. Rally, protest, demonstration, signature campaign, etc. are not meant for the USA to decide on the internal matters of the country. These are meant to create international pressure.
There should however be limits to the extent of influence or international pressure you may want to seek from international agencies or foreign countries. You might have seen the video clip in which Mahbubur Rahman is saying that Khaleda has virtually asked the USA to 'attack' Bangladesh as a solution to end Hasina's fascist rule.
A drowning man catches at a straw. Demonstrations, protest rallies, signature campaigns, etc as are being organized by the Hindus of Bangladesh throughout the world are perfectly justified. Only those who are least concerned about or are against the religious minorities see such campaigns as tarnishing the image of the country.

So let me understand this, member Harun Chowdhury wants "White House" to decide this matter or does he have faith in current BAL government to do this job? Instigating or banning any party is the job of sitting administration.
Correct me if I am wrong here. Member Harun (A Muktijoddha!) wants a foreign government to decide this for us.
Waiting for a clarification.
Shalom!
