Destroying historical buildings is not required by Islam. It is probably done to make room for new five start hotels around the "Holy masjid" in Mecca. As I said earlier if such destruction was required by Islam, they would have been gone 1400 years ago. Personally I am against such destruction of ancient buildings. But I have no power over Saudi authorities.
There are competing sects in Islam who speaks bad about the others. Which is true for all global faiths. These type of "Simpleton" arguments are done by people who are not aware of facts.

Wahabis have their issues and Muslims should demand sources for their ideas. As long our teachings are supported by the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah, it is fine. We have to ensure we are not endorsing views without fact checking. That goes for both anti-Wahabi and Wahabi fanatics.
At the end of the day, we should follow our religions without being fanatical about it. Allah is watching over us and we'll accountable for our actions.

যে, যে দেওবন্দীরা এ উপমহাদেশে ওয়াহাবী মতবাদ প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছে, সে
দেওবন্দী-তাবলিগীদের বিরুদ্ধেই এখন সৌদি আরব থেকে কুফরি-শিরকের ফতোয়া
দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
তবে এ কথা অস্বীকার করার জো নেই যে, সনাতন আধ্যাত্নিক ও মূল ইসলামের ধারক
সুন্নী জনগোষ্ঠীর নির্লিপ্ততাও এদের উত্তরণে নিয়ামক ভূমিকা রেখেছে।

Pretty shockingly informative for me. "Tawhid" is a Wahabi concept! Those who do not buy Wahabi theology are "Mushrik"! What does this word mean? What doctrine is Jamat-e-Islami following? JI has not been included in the list given below. But I know Mowdudi got strong support from Saudi Arab.
