I think your are being too judgmental, Dr. Bain.

Whenever a topic creates a Shock 'n Awe, it becomes the hottest topic in the media. Religious extremism rises to a new level everyday, and thus remains at the top of the most favorite list of topics daily. That's what is the meaning of the term - hottest topic.

I think Dr. Roy is totally wrong on the first point.

 

I think people in this forum talk about religion and religion-based hatred, not because they are 'the hottest topic now a days', but because they have been causing injustice in Bangladesh and because they would continue to hinder the progress of Bangladesh toward a just and prosperous nation.

 

Dr. Roy is somewhat correct on the second point. But I would try to ignore people who try to promote their religion in most conversations.

About the other comment about discussing religion in this forum; that's mainly for two reasons - 1) religion is the hottest topic now a days, and 2) there are people, like you, who bring religion in most conversations, mainly for promotional purposes.
