পঁচাত্তরের পর দেশে স্কুল তৈরি বন্ধ করে দেয়া হয়েছিল বলে দাবি করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর ছেলে ও তার তথ্য-প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা সজীব ওয়াজেদ জয়।
তিনি বলেন, 'স্কুল বন্ধ করে দেয়ায় প্রতি তিনজন স্কুলছাত্রের বিপরীতে এখন একজন মাদ্রাসাছাত্র তৈরি হয়েছে। এটা কমিয়ে দিতে আমরা ইতোমধ্যে আন্দোলন শুরু করে দিয়েছি।'
