Re: [mukto-mona] Re: [notun_bangladesh] Indian Navy concerned over Bangladesh's decision to buy submarines from China

"Reality is China has done a much better job as a friend than India."- QR.
e.g., (i) Bangladesh got its independence with Chinese help(?)!;
(ii) Bangladesh nationals go to pilgrimage in a Chinese city called Azmeer Sharif.
(iii) They celebrate qurbani mostly with Chinese cattle.;
(iv)  Most commodities consumed in Bangladesh actually come from China....etc.

When would such idiots as QR develop a sense of shame?  Being descendants of those who could not protect their identity earlier, it is not expected that they would have any idea on anything.

Member Saha,

I actually like to see India become prosperous. As a neighbor we are all connected. A lot of Indians and Bangladeshi speak the same language we love. We are probably more "Connected" to India (IN many dimensions) than any other nations.

However we are an free nation. Which paid heavy prices to get to this status. So when we discuss policies, we have make an attempt to be dispassionate. Your posts does not contain any original thought but your illogical and passionate words against anyone who disagrees with Indian policies towards Bangladesh.

While as a bengali I'll be probably more "At home" inside India than any other nations I do not have an illusion where my preference lies if I have to pick between Bangladesh and India.

Therefore my analogy was based on which policy is more supportive of our existence and which country is trying our slow destruction (At least with policy).

India and many Indians have the SAME problem which was once shown by some Pakistani (A superiority complex).

India may be prosperous but they are ALSO (Like USA) heavily indebted nation. Inside India it has been depriving poor Indians (Low caste, minority, tribal etc) and enhancing people from certain class and background. Therefore India has major flaws at policy level and social inequity is the biggest threat against long term survival of India. Instead of focusing on that, (Like Pakistan) India chose to blame her neighbors for most of her problem. Even statistically INDIAN Maoists are the biggest threat against stability of India but India media reflect a distorted reality. Half of Indians are not so happy with the federal union (seven sisters, south, Khalistanis etc).

Personally I am not in love with China or any other nation than my own. However truth has to be told when we discuss. If a nation like Bangladesh can freely criticize Saudi Arabia, Pakistan etc why NOT India?

I am inspired by Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose who NEVER gave up honor and dignity in exchange of friendship.

As I said earlier, India should be our "Natural friend" but sadly India wishes to be our boss!

As a nation which frequently speak about "Spirit of liberation" like it happened few weeks ago, we do not wish to replace Pakistan with India. Though the present looks difficult but we'll survive. We'll also thrive. Some of our political leaders disappointed us but our people are very aware of realities and I put my faith on them.

If we can become the second largest garment producer in two decades, we can do a lot of things if we are "Allowed" to focus on them.

India and China are welcome to be our friends. Reality is China has done a much better job as a friend than India. But India is always welcome to join the party. Since we live in the same region, we are not going anywhere.

Hope India realizes it before it is too late.

Shalom!

Look, India has managed to prosper without Pakistani and Bangladeshi help. It has become a great soft power in the world whether we Bangladeshis/ Pakistanis like or not. The country is not going to be held back by its two neighbors whether we love them more or less. They are just big enough go it alone. It is already obvious why Indians would never be good friends with these two countries. For that very reason, they do not want the free flow of population from these two countries in their territory.  These two countries are not even India's  significant trading partners ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_largest_trading_partners_of_India).

I understand your love for China. Enemy's enemy is a friend! China is a truly benevolent country and that can be easily validated by Tibetians, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese and Filipinos. :-) I do not think you need to be really sharp to understand why China is ready spend money in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka. Do you think that would be a free lunch for us in the long run? My dear friend, the recipient countries would have spread their legs soon or later. Chinese dick could be far sticker than our dearest Uncle Sam's because you would be dealing with stingy proletariat's money. Is that a great option? Maybe? These are basically strategic games that are being played and smaller countries would be used as worthless pawns, not really as equals.  Because, we got nothing to offer to our all weather friend except our superfluous illiterate population. Would China grant us visas to settle in China? If yes, I say more power to us! And, if China ever takes over India, then that will be a great beginning for the India neighbors?
