As Biharis showed no loyalty to Bangladesh during its liberation war and despised her ever since, as they sided with the enemy to deny independence of Bangladesh from the Pakistani aggressors, they have no right to live in the country. That they have been allowed to live in the country so long is a testament to the country's generosity. Those who were born after the independence, those who speak Bengali and show their loyalty to the country, should be given the rights of Bangladeshi citizenship. However, if some original Biharis now show remorse for their heinous crimes during liberation war, seek forgiveness and show loyalty to Bangladesh, then the country should seriously consider absorbing them. But my gut feeling is that most of those Biharis still dislike Bangladesh, hope that one day Pakistan will take over the land and they will be flourishing again! Biharis issue is an agonising dilemma for the country.
