Are you saying Latif Siddiqui should not have expressed his views, because illiterate ignorant people will not like it? If that's the case – there is no hope for progress; we are stuck in the past.
I remember – we had a civil discourse about Hajj, a year or so back, in this forum. We discussed about this multi-billion dollar business in Saudi Arabia, where many people spend their life-savings.
The main problem with this discourse is - now politicians are involved. BNP/Jamat wants to score political points against Awami League. They have found one. When politicians get involved in a discourse, you can rest assure – it will end in turmoil.

Mr. Latif Siddiqui expressed his views, which many may not be shared by majority. So what? Let's say - he is wrong. He will be a sinner; let him face Allah. Why are you fighting with police, and putting your life on the line for his sin?
It's really sad to see the level of ignorance of some people in Bangladesh; they are ready to come to the street and fight with police; some are ready to give life for something he said, if need be. It's heart-breaking to see that - lives are so cheap in Bangladesh.
