Yes, what's happening in the Muslim world and middle east are horrible. But remember it has increased many fold after 9/11 and the west military campaign are mostly responsible. and after especially after the failed Iraq invasion to bring democracy there.
My friends, Islam is a religion of peace. As a Muslim,let me say that Muslims do not believe that Islam is a new religion, it's the summation and culmination of all monotheistic religions from Adam to Muhammad.(peace be on all of them). All prophets are prophets of Islam..My feeling was that this debate was an attempt and a total set up to demonize Islam as a religion and Muslims as wanted religious minority in America that goes against the very constitution. Good job,Dr. Jasser. Muslims believe that Quran is the words of God that were revealed to Prophet Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel. If they are words of God, why would you reform God's words. I understand there are scope of different interpretation.and it has been taking place for in so many different places i so many different circumstances and it will continue until it fits every culture and every society. It is a continuous process.
May Allah forgive me for saying anything contrary as I'm not an authority in Islam, but I can participate with my free mind on anything, even issues with religion, my religion, my peace of mind, my connection with God, our God. May God bless us all. Hating Islam and Muslims won't take the civilization anywhere as one humanity.

What would you reform? The Book or the behavior of it's stringent followers, who want to go for the purest version of it to please the God? The venom of hatred and violence is well spread in the entire body that no antidote can do the magic anymore. If this is called a religion of peace, then who needs the war?
