As you said, all Muslims must follow the Koran as is, without moderation, meaning radical and moderate Muslims follow the same Koran. We may liken these two groups as 'players' and 'spectators' in a game, where players play and spectators enjoy from the sideline; none of these groups can change rules of the game.
I see this Koranic 'absoluteness' as a huge problem; it's a double edged sword.
I know - many of those hateful Koranic verses were included during the war between believers and non-believers, and that war will never end. In fact, it is going on now in the Middle-East. So, those verses were as valid in those days as they are today; ISIS supporters are making use of them right now. ISIS are just 'players' playing the game that was started with the emergence of the Prophet. Calling them non-Muslims is not right, when they are getting their guidance from the Koran. Also, only disowning them will not make Islam a peaceful religion now; it will require much more serious considerations of the moderate-Muslim.
