[mukto-mona] Re: {PFC-Friends} digit-AL minister: Bribe not illegal : Muhit

MUJIB LEFT BEHIND A STRONG LEGACY FOR HASINA TO FOLLOW
Abid Bahar

Before Ayub Khan made Mujib a hero, his colleagues in the AL knew him as the leader of the Suhrowadhy group (terror group). This is all mentioned by numerous Mujib's contemporaries ( leaders and authors). Such people vary from Toffazal Hossain Manik Mia to Kamruddin Ahamed and others.

Mujib led the Suhrowardhy group that murdered speaker Shahed Ali. It is also recorded that he personally used fist fight in his constituency in the United front election. Often time, he refused to follow any decorum of a meeting and used to arrive in a meeting say organized by Ataur Rahman but he would take it over and give speech undermining the organizers.
In the beginning in this type of unruly behavior, he was directly involved in attacking the opposition but later on as he matured, he used his cadres such as Korban Ali, Golam Mostafa, Abdur razzak, Tofail etc. Imagine, the man who surrendered in 1971 and betrayed with the nation and imposed the BKSAL dictatorship, is named as the father of the nation. Reading his life only tells us that he could be a good role model for Chatro League members. By the way, Chatro League was founded by him in his own image.

Like AK Fazlul Haque and Suhrowardhy, Mujib was not an educated man. He began his life as the Surowardhy cadre and he specialized on this subject of using force and intimidation against the opposition.. In the name of establishing democracy after his return from Pakistan, he deliberately killed Bangladeshis who opposed him and he killed the infant democracy. He used violence in politics and died violently.

Mujib left behind a great number of cadres, blind followers many of whom are simply following him as their prophet not knowing that he was the trickster, false prophet who left behind a legacy of corruption, nepotism and the practice of ruling the country by force. Mujib's short rule made the country bankrupt ( a bottomless basket"). Hasina follows her father's black coat's fascist tradition so devotedly that nobody knows where the country is heading for. This is because Mujib's model of ruling the country was totally wrong because it was the philosophy of a cadre turned a home grown dictator. For Bangladesh to survive, the tradition has to discontinue.

He is not a criminal. He is in fact a decent person.

But he suffers from the same malaise as most AL intellectuals:

1.       Mujib and AL have the divine right to rule over us

2.       Any real criticism of Mujib and AL is unacceptable

3.       All errors of Mujib and all crimes of AL are acceptable

As he is a minister he does not have the disgusting luxury of most AL intellectuals – to just keep quiet and pretend to be neutral.

He says such things when he tries to publicly reconcile his dream of AL and the real AL. He can't.

He invites mockery because it is a mockery to be decent and tolerate the biggest errors and crimes of AL (or BNP) at the same time.

Our intellectuals should have been neutral and fighting in the centre against AL and BNP. Instead they take sides.

I hate our intellectuals.

Shouldn't this criminal be behind bars? In Bangladesh such criminals are made ministers. What a country!
