জাতি হিসেবে পাকিস্তানিরা সব সময়ই দ্বিধা বিভক্ত আর বর্বর। তাদের বিচার বিবেচনা নীতি-বোধ সর্বদাই নিচু শ্রেণীর। তাদের জাতিগত দাঙ্গা, ধর্মীয় উগ্রতা পাকিস্তান নামক ভু-খণ্ডকেই পরিণত করেছে "দুনিয়াবি নরক" একটি অকার্যকর রাষ্ট্রে। পাকিস্তান সেনাবাহিনীর জেনারেল আমির আবদুল্লাহ খান নিয়াজী ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর আত্মসমর্পণের দলিলে জেনারেল জগজিৎ সিং অরোরার সামনে সই করে শুধু পূর্ব পাকিস্তানই ছেড়ে যাননি, মূলত রক্ষা করেছেন পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানকে । ব্যাপারটা অনেকটা ভিক্ষা চাই না… তোর কুকুর সামলা'র মত।
সবাই জানেন, বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধে ৭১'এর ডিসেম্বর মাসে ভারত সরাসরি জড়িয়ে পড়ে। একই সাথে দুই ফ্রন্টে যুদ্ধে কাহিল পাক-বাহিনী ক্লান্ত অপদস্থ এবং মানসিকভাবে পরাজিত হয়ে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে আত্মসমর্পণের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে যুদ্ধ তো চলছিলই, তন্মাধ্যে পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানে যুদ্ধের ধাক্কা সামলানো পাক বাহিনীর জন্য সহজ ছিলো না। আত্মসমর্পণের পূর্বে ইয়াহিয়া খানের প্রেরিত একটি বার্তার উদ্ধৃতি দিয়ে তাদের যুদ্ধকালীন পরাজিত মনোভাব তুলে ধরতে পারি, ১৬ই ডিসেম্বরের পূর্বক্ষণে নিয়াজী কাছে প্রেরিত সেই বার্তায় লিখা ছিলো, "Niazi in order to save West you have to give up East"
১৯৭১ সালে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের রণক্ষেত্রে দায়িত্ব প্রাপ্ত জেনারেল আমির আব্দুল্লাহ খান নিয়াজী দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময়কাল থেকেই একজন খাটি ব্রিটিশ যোদ্ধা। নেতাজী সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসু যখন তাঁর "ভারতীয় জাতীয় সেনাবাহিনী" গঠন করে স্বাধীনতার উদ্দেশ্যে ১৯৪৩-৪৫সনে বার্মা-ভারত সীমান্তে যুদ্ধ করছেন তখন তার বিরুদ্ধে রাইফেল ধরেছিলেন আর কেউ নয় "জেনারেল নিয়াজি"। তিনি তৎকালে ব্রিটিশ (ভারতীয়) সেনাবাহিনীতে জেনারেল উইলিয়াম জোসেফ স্লিমের (পরে ফিল্ড মার্শাল) অধীনে কর্মরত ছিলেন। স্বাধীনতাকামী সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসুর মুক্তি ফৌজকে পরাজিত করার জন্য নিয়াজি জুন-১৯৪৪ সালে আসাম-বার্মা রণক্ষেত্রে পুরস্কৃত হন, তার সম্পর্কে বলা হয়, "He organized the attack with such skill that his leading platoon succeeded in achieving complete surprise over the enemy."
ভাগ্যের কি নির্মম পরিহাস পুরস্কার প্রাপ্তির ২৫বছর পরই আরেক দল মুক্তিকামী মানুষের কাছে মাথা নিচু করে অস্ত্র সমর্পণ করেন।
১৯৭১ সালে জেনারেল নিয়াজি পাক সেনাবাহিনীর উচ্চ পদস্থ ছিলেন, তৎকালে সেনা বাহিনীতে তার কর্ম এবং সাহসিকতার জন্য দুই দুইবার হিলাল-ই-জরুরাত(Hilal-e-Jurat) পদকে ভূষিত হন। তিনি ১৯৭১ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে বাংলাদেশে যুদ্ধ পরিচালনায় নিয়োজিত হন, যখন রাজনৈতিক অস্থিরতার মধ্যে টিক্কা খান ২৫শে মার্চ ক্র্যাক ডাউন করে ফেলেছেন।
পরিকল্পিত গণহত্যার মুখে সারাদেশে শুরু হয়ে যায় প্রতিরোধ-যুদ্ধ, জীবন বাঁচাতে প্রায় ১ কোটি মানুষ পার্শ্ববর্তী ভারতে আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করে। জেনারেল নিয়াজি লক্ষাধিক সুসজ্জিত সেনা বাহিনীর সহযোগী হিসেবে পেয়েছিলেন এ দেশীয় প্রায় তিন লক্ষাধিক রাজাকার, আল বদর, আল শামস, আর অগণিত বিহারি। তাদের বিপরীতে থাকা দল ছুট ছন্নছাড়া, প্রাণ ভয়ে পালিয়ে যাওয়া একদল মানুষ। দেখতে দেখতে ইস্ট বেঙ্গল রেজিমেন্ট, ইস্ট পাকিস্তান রাইফেলস (ইপিআর), ইস্ট পাকিস্তান পুলিশ, সামরিক বাহিনীর বাঙ্গালী সদস্য এবং সর্বোপরি বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতাকামী সাধারণ মানুষ নিয়ে দ্রুত গড়ে উঠে সুশৃঙ্খল একটি মুক্তিবাহিনী। একের পর এক গেরিলা আক্রমণে যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে মুক্তিবাহিনী সারাদেশে পাকিস্তানী হানাদার বাহিনীকে ব্যতিব্যস্ত করে তোলে। যার ফলশ্রুতিতে ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর ঢাকার রেসকোর্স ময়দানে পাকিস্তান ৯৩,০০০ হাজার সৈন্যসহ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে আত্মসমর্পণ করেন জেনারেল নিয়াজি। প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় বাঙ্গালী জাতির প্রথম স্বাধীন রাষ্ট্র বাংলাদেশ।
নিয়াজীর নারী প্রীতি এবং সেক্সুয়াল ফ্যান্টাসি হার্ড-কোর পর্ণ সিনেমার মত। তার আস্কারায় পাকিস্তানী সেনা বাংলাদেশে ধর্ষণের লাইসেন্স পেয়ে যায়। যুদ্ধ শুরুর পর বাঙ্গালী নারী ধর্ষণের ব্যাপারটি বার বার বিশ্ব-মিডিয়ায় আসতে থাকে। তখন জেনারেল নিয়াজি এক প্রশ্নের উত্তরে বলেন "Are the soldiers supposed to go to Lahore to find women?" (মেয়েদের খোজে কি সৈন্যরা লাহোরে যাবে?)
ধর্ষণ শুধু ধর্ষণে থেমে থাকেনি… ধর্ষণ, পায়ুকাম, ধর্ষণের পর নারীদের স্তন কেটে নেয়া, বেনয়েট দিয়ে যৌনাঙ্গে খুঁচিয়ে পায়ুপথ যৌনাঙ্গ একাকার করে দেয়ার মত বীভৎসতা ছিলো ১৯৭১সালে যুদ্ধকালীন সময়ে পাক বাহিনীর নিত্য বিনোদন। বাংলাদেশের নারীরা প্রকৃত মুসলিম নয়, তারা হিন্দুদের সংস্পর্শে "কাফির"এ পরিণত হয়েছে। তাদের সাথে প্রকৃত মুসলিম পাক সেনাদের সঙ্গমে জন্ম নেবে "সাচ্চা মুসলমান" নীতিতে বিশ্বাসী পাক সেনারা যুদ্ধের দীর্ঘ নয় মাসে কত মা বোনের ইজ্জত নষ্ট করেছে তার হিসেব পাওয়া কঠিন।
ডাঃ জেফরি ডেভিস (Dr. Geoffrey Davies) নামে একজন অস্ট্রেলিয়ান চিকিৎসক যুদ্ধ পরবর্তী সময়ে বাংলাদেশে ধর্ষিতা মেয়েদের নিয়ে কাজ করেছিলেন। তাঁর ভাষ্যমতে প্রতিদিন গড়ে অন্তত ১০০মেয়েদের গর্ভপাত (Abortion) করিয়েছিলেন তিনি। জাতিসংঘের অধীনে কাজ করা ডাঃ বিনা ডি'কস্টার (Dr. Bina D'Costa) সাথে এক সাক্ষাতকারে তিনি বলেন "I was trying to save of what have survived of the children born during the time that the West Pakistani army had Bengali women incarcerated in their commissariats. The West Pakistani officials didn't get why there was so much fuss about that. I interviewed a lot of them. They were in a prison in Comilla. And they were saying, 'What are they going on about? What were we supposed to have done? It was a war!"
তিনি আরো বলেন, "They had orders of a kind or instruction from Tikka Khan to the effect that a good Muslim will fight anybody except his father. So what they had to do was to impregnate as many Bengali women as they could. That was the theory behind it."
ডাঃ জেফরি ডেভিসের মত শত শত দেশি বিদেশি চিকিৎসক সাহায্যে এগিয়ে এসেছিলেন ধর্ষিতাদের সাহায্যার্থে, আর বাংলার গ্রামে-গঞ্জে কত লক্ষ ধর্ষিতা মা-বোন লাজ-লজ্জায় কিংবা সুবিধা বঞ্চিত হয়ে রয়ে গেছেন হিসেবের বাইরে।
পাক সেনারা যখন নারীদের ধরে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিলো তখন অনেকেই পবিত্র কোরআন শরিফ বুকে আঁকড়ে ছিলেন। বাংলার মুসলিম মা-বোনের এক ধরণের বিশ্বাস ছিলো যে পাক সেনারা মুসলমান, কোরআন শরিফ দেখলে অন্তত তারা কোনো ক্ষতি করবে না। পাকিস্তানী সেনাদের জন্য ব্যাপারটা ছিলো হাস্যকর। সাচ্চা মুসলিম সেনাদের লাথির পর লাথিতে কোরআন চিটকে পড়েছে হাত থেকে। রেহাই পায়নি কেউই। পাকিস্তানে সর্বশেষ কমিশনার "আলামদার রাজা"র ভাষ্যমতে, "…….A band of Pakistani occupation army attacked a house and killed one but all the members of the family. The only young girl of the family was kept alive for rape. The girl begged for mercy; frightened to death she cried out and said is a Muslim woman and the soldiers are also Muslim. How come Muslim men can rape a Muslim woman? …..At last, as a last resort, she put the holy Koran on the bed, next to her and said, they have to step on the Koran to rape her. The bastards kicked the Koran out of the bed and group raped her…."
রাজাকার-আলবদর আর বিহারিদের কথা বাদই দিলাম, শুধু এক লক্ষ পাকসেনা প্রত্যেকে যদি প্রতি মাসে একজন করে বাঙ্গালী নারীকে চুম্বনও করে তবে নয় মাসে চুম্বনের সংখ্যাও হিসেবে দাঁড়ায় নয় লক্ষ।
পাক সেনাদের লোভনীয় ব্যাপার ছিলো হিন্দু নারী। হিন্দু পরিবারের বাড়ি ঘরে আগুন ধরিয়ে দিয়ে তাদের মেয়েদের ধরে নিয়ে যাওয়া হত ক্যাম্পে। আটকে রেখে চলতো গণ ধর্ষণ।
বেলুচ রেজিমেন্টের লেঃ কঃ আজিজ আহমেদ খান '৭১ সালে বাংলাদেশে ৮৬মুজাহিদ ব্যাটেলিয়নে কর্মরত ছিলেন। তার ভাষ্যমতে, জেনারেল নিয়াজি ঠাকুর গাও এবং বগুড়া এলাকা পরিদর্শনকালে হিন্দু পরিবার হত্যার ব্যাপারে জোর দিয়েছিলেন। "General Niazi visited my unit at Thakargaon and bogra and he asked us how many Hindus we had killed."
জেনারেল নিয়াজি বাংলাদেশ-পাকিস্তান যুদ্ধকে "জিহাদ" আখ্যায়িত করে দম্ভোক্তি কণ্ঠে তার সেনাদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেছিলেন, "One cannot fight a war here in East Pakistan and go all the way to the Western wing to have an ejaculation!" ("পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে বীর্যপাত না করে কেউ যুদ্ধ সফল করে পাকিস্তানে ফেরত যেতে পারবে না")
আমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য যে স্বাধীনতার ৪৩বছর পরও '৭১সালে কতজন শহীদ হয়েছিলো আর কত নারী ধর্ষিতা হয়েছিলেন তা নিয়ে বিতর্ক করি। আজো মনে হয় হয়, পাকিস্তান আমাদের ছেড়ে গেলেও পাকিস্তানী প্রেতাত্মা আমাদের ছেড়ে যায়নি, আর অদূর ভবিষ্যতে ছেড়ে যাবার কোনো লক্ষণ পরিলক্ষিত হচ্ছে না। ফেইসবুক-ব্লগে আমরা ভিন দেশী নারীদের ধর্ষণ নিয়ে ব্যথিত হই, কিন্তু '৭১ সালে লক্ষ মা-বোনের ধর্ষণ নিয়ে টু-শব্দটি পর্যন্ত করি না। অদ্ভুত আমাদের দর্শন!!! শুধুমাত্র রাজনৈতিক ফায়দা হাসিলের জন্য মুক্তিযুদ্ধ, ৩০লক্ষ শহীদ আর ৩লক্ষ মা-বোনের ত্যাগের বিষয়টি তুচ্ছ করে স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামকে বিতর্কিত করে নিয়াজির রেখে যাওয়া সৈনিকরা নতুন করে ধর্ষণ করে বাঙ্গালী জাতিকে।
