 Dear All

As apprehended, political turmoil started in Bangladesh.  Country was

peaceful for one year due to opposition parties passed 'wait and see'

policy, expecting the Awami Govt to come to its senses on requirement

of a free & fair election.  That did not take place, rather oppression on

the oppositions increased and corruptions continued to alarming stage. 

Democracy was deliberately demolished & destroyed.  And violation of

Human Rights by Govt reached history's highest level in Bangladesh.

 

Today, placed the latest position of political unrest.  It is confinement of

Khaleda Zia.  7 headlines in newspapers (2 papers simply suppressed the

issue till 9-30 pm/MA time – Janakantha and Jugantor) and 2 features on

current and last Year's confinement by 'Sand Trucks' are given.  Thanks.

বিএনপি চেয়ারপার্সন ও ২০ দলীয় জোট নেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়া অবরুদ্ধ। এটা স্বাভাবিক

কোনো রাজনৈতিক নেতাকে আটকে রাখা নয়। বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্বকে

চিরতরে নস্যাৎ করার একটি প্রক্রিয়া। এই প্রক্রিয়া ১৯৭৫ সালের ৩ নভেম্বর একবার হয়েছিল।

স্বাধীনতার ঘোষক সেনা প্রধান মেজর জেনারেল জিয়াউর রহমানকে গৃহবন্দী করেছিল সেনা

বাহিনীর একটি বিদেশী এজেন্ট চক্র। তখন দুঃসাহসী সৈনিক ও জনতা স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের

প্রথম রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমানকে মুক্ত করেছিল। ৭ নভেম্বর সিপাহী-জনতার বিপ্লবে জিয়াউর

রহমানের মুক্ত হওয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্ব শত্রুমুক্ত হয়। চল্লিশ বছরের মাথায়

এসে বাংলাদেশ সেই একই চক্রান্তের মুখোমুখি। ……..

যেভাবে আটকে দেয়া হয় খালেদাকে ৪ জানুয়ারি ২০১৫, Manab Zamin

টানা দুই মাস আন্দোলনের পর ২০১৩ সালের ২৫শে ডিসেম্বর দেশের সার্বিক পরিস্থিতি

তুলে ধরতে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে করেছিলেন বিরোধী জোট নেতা ও বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসন

খালেদা জিয়া। ২৯শে ডিসেম্বর গণতন্ত্রের অভিযাত্রা 'মার্চ ফর  ডেমোক্রেসি' কর্মসূচি

পালনের ঘোষণা দেন তিনি। পরদিন থেকেই খালেদা জিয়ার গুলশানের বাসভবন ও

রাজনৈতিক কার্যালয়ে পুলিশি কড়াকড়ি বাড়ানো হয়। ………
