Our politics without ethics
We ( the common people ) have been very crucial situation for the last couple of days . We can't go out from home , can't go to school , college , university , can't attend at our work-place in time , the prices of daily commodities are increasing ; and all these notorious things have been happening because of our political stand-off . People have been being killed , vehicles have been being torched down , public assets have been being destroyed , and all these things have been bearing the brunt of the gruesome consequences of our politics . Politics is for our people , society , country ; and , above all , for people , but in our country it is for political parties and their interests . The political parties do politics for hipping up their ( leaders of political parties ) pockets , not for the welfare of the people and country . Man is a political animal – says Aristotle ; yes , it is true that every man more or less involves in politics , and they also do more or less politics . But according to the view of science , man is animal first , and this animal needs food first ; as food and sex are the two prime and primitive basic needs of animal – opines the most sociologist and anthropologist . People won't listen to your sweet-talks if they are hungry . They need food first , then they need and do other things . Daily commodities loaded trucks were set fire on by the picketers , the prices of these commodities are going beyond the ability of common people ; so , surely to say , this kind of politics won't work for the people . It won't give anything to people , rather it will suck their last droop of blood . People will become loser and leaders will become gainer – the system of our politics is that . Why Plato , Aristotle , and other famous scholars took up democracy negatively , may be , it's known very well to the people of our country . Might be , our democracy is the worst form of democracy . People of this region have been bearing the black-hands of democracy for a long time . Our democracy is – killing innocent people , hartal , setting fire on vehicles , confining in the political leaders , arresting them , etc , etc and etc . Our political leaders are confined ,our voice is off and controlled by the government , our parliament is one-political-party parliament , our assets are destroyed , we are killed – and still we are a political and democratic country – don't these sound little odd ? These sound very odd to me . Democracy is for whom and for what . people are dying , they are being killed ; is democracy for them ? They can't do their regular work , businessman can't do their regular business , the image of our country in abroad is continuously deteriorating , the economic growth of our country is reversing ; is democracy for them and for the country ?
There are some principles , ethics , systems needed to do a particular work . Without these one can hardly be successful in his or her work ; and these are also applicable to politics and democracy . But sorry to say , most of our political leaders have no principle , ethic , insight , wisdom and judiciousness ; rather than they ( most of them ) are dishonest , clever , unethical , rude , unwise and imprudent . They have no knowledge to analysis the surroundings , they don't know how they should react to the different circumstances , they can't cope up and respond quickly to the emergency situations of our country . One can easily understand them by seeing their interviews , attitudes and speeches .
We do need circumspect , wise , honest , educated , sagacious , and above all , humanitarian political leaders ; otherwise , we will perish very soon .
