I agree fully that - only deranged liberals will bring economic issues as one of the causes of terrorism. They do not understand that - unknowingly, they are blaming victims of terrorism for the acts of terrorism on them.

I do not believe in this theory and 9/11 is a prime example of that cruel fact. According to that theory, many poorest countries of Asia including China and India would have been the main hub of terror factory during the last six decades?? How many terrorists did Bangladesh create so far? How many Cambodians or Africans do you find as terrorists given the facts that they are/were very poor with low literacy. This is a bogus argument for justifying terror acts from some very deranged minds. Saudis, Yemenis and Britons of Pakistani origin are not really poor or destitute by any measure and, yet, these people have been creating the terror havoc in the world in the name of a religion and its prophet.

That might be true. However, I think that is a poor excuse for Muslims not helping themselves to get out of damn darkness. If community is reluctant to enlighten itself, how can a state do it for them? What can a government do when Muslims do not want to be vaccinated against Polio viruses? What can a state do when a community want to be purer Muslim than great citizens of a country? It is high time for people to take some responsibilities for their own ego and stupidity.
Do you think Awami League people do the same to minorities in Bangladesh? Are Hindus in Bangladesh keeping themselves in the dark? I hope not. Do Hindus face lesser discrimination in Bangladesh and Pakistan? Probably not?
I simply can't buy these arguments anymore even though, they are being recycled in many forums by many great foolish liberals.

I am sure some will argue: Don't the Muslims have any role? I am sure they have. But the rulers have to be proactive by organizing progressive programs and activities and allocating sufficient funds so that they can implemented. Once the rulers become proactive, there will be no dearth of volunteers to support the same.

And when you are in bad shape socially and economically, you do not feel like belonging to the mainstream and thus you suffer from identity crisis in a secular democratic country. And that feeling makes you tempted to resign or strike.
Dr. Pal has opined that a new Muhammed in the new age is needed to bring about the reforms in Islam. Sisi has appealed to the Ulema to bring about a new Islamic revolution. What else could he do? Reject the Koran and Islam and get assassinated by one of his soldiers? Before we challenge him, we should remember that he ousted a legitimate government which was inclined heavily to Islamic fundamentalism. If you read unbiased authors like Karen Armstrong, you should agree that Muhammed was progressive with respect to his time and was also dynamic in thinking. But the fundamentalists and fanatics have hijacked the religion and extrapolation has been made almost impossible.
Literally the proposition of welcoming a new Muhammed is a mission impossible; but what does not seem impossible is highlighting the good teachings in Islamic teachings and reinterpreting many teachings and keeping quiet about the rest and sending them to cold storage for blissful solitude.
