A very successful and historic visit by Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi. This takes the relationship between our two countries to new heights with increasing trade and cooperation to benefit the entire subcontinent. He has been most gracious in both his words and actions.
I find it quite amusing that BNP is now vehemently denying ever being anti-India. They must think that people are really stupid. All you have to do is search for statements by Khaleda Zia against India. She even snubbed the Honorable President of India Pranab Mukherjee and cancelled a scheduled meeting with him while he was visiting Bangladesh. Prime Minister Modi was not scheduled to meet with Khaleda Zia at all. The BNP lobbied desperately for this meeting.
ভারতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর এই সফর সফল এবং ঐতিহাসিক। বাণিজ্য এবং সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধির সাথে সাথে এই সফর দুই দেশের সম্পর্ককে এক নতুন উচ্চতায় নিয়ে যাবে, যা পুরো উপমহাদেশকে উপকৃত করবে। তিনি কথায় এবং কাজে সর্বোচ্চভাবে আন্তরিক।
সবচেয়ে মজার বিষয় এটাই যে, বিএনপি এখন চরমভাবে তাদের ভারতবিরোধী অবস্থানকে অস্বীকার করছে। তারা জনগণকে বোকা ভাবে। আপনাদেরকে শুধু খালেদা জিয়ার ভারতবিরোধী বক্তব্যগুলো খুঁজতে হবে। খালেদা জিয়া এমনকি ভারতীয় প্রেসিডেন্ট প্রণব মুখার্জির বাংলাদেশ সফরকালে তাঁকে উপেক্ষা করেছেন এবং তাঁর সাথে একটি পূর্বনির্ধারিত সাক্ষাৎ বাতিল করেছেন। ভারতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সাথে খালেদা জিয়ার কোন সাক্ষাৎ নির্ধারিত ছিল না। বিএনপি মরিয়া হয়ে এই সাক্ষাতের জন্য তদবির করেছিল।
