An Indian Muslim, Ehsan Ahrari from America, writes:
I think Pakistan is faced with an unending list of shamefulness and apologies: from its Army’s permanent assault on democracy and democratic institutions, for the murderous attacks on its fellow Muslims in East Pakistan, murderous sponsored attacks inside India in which its entire government is directly or indirectly responsible, and above all, for its constant defaming and insult of Islam in the name of fanaticism/obscurantism/misogynism: the traits it inherited from the Wahhabist ideology that is spreading in South Asia like cancer.
“From Bhutto to Zia to Musharraf, 'no apologies' should be our national motto”

From military coups to failed policies, from political murders to systematic suppression of minorities, there is a long list of acts for which national leaders owe us apologies.
