[mukto-mona] Ms. Ishrat Akhond - a brave lady who did not compromise on her principles

Ms. Ishrat Akhond ceased making any effort to compromise on her principles even when she was facing death. This brave lady told her name but refused to recite from the Quran when the Islamic terrorists asked her to do so. In a Bengali newspaper, it was mentioned that the Islamic terrorists were confused about her religious identity. Within a span of a few seconds, they determined that she was not a Muslim because of her head not covered by a hijab. Then the barbarians hacked her to death.

It is crucial to seriously look into the families of these Islamic terrorists about how they raised them to become barbarians to such an extent. Where did these Islamic terrorists learn that a woman without a hijab would not be considered a Muslim? There were not many hijabis in the past in Bangladesh. Is hijab an essential item for a Muslim woman to wear? To save from the desert heat, an Arabian Bedouin man used to cover his head and face using headwear know as Keffiyeh. For the same purpose, an Arabian woman used to cover her head and face using a scarf. How is it that the scarf has become an Islamic garb for a Muslim woman? How did the Keffiyeh not become an Islamic garb for a Muslim man? Before it becomes too late (it is already late), it is an utmost necessity to look into the families to see whether they gave too much emphasis on raising their kids based on the culture of the nomadic Arabs of dessert. There should be an all out effort to reverse this process.
