[ALOCHONA] Re: Hollywood movie on Bangabandhu

This is a dream come true for us - a film on Bongobondhu made by Bollywood. We can expect an honest and thoughtful characetrisation of our greatest leader. InshAllah there will be no bombast, no exaggerations and no hyper sentimentality. Bollywood does portraits very well.

Our hopes were dashed when the rumours of Amitabh Bhachan playing Sheikh Mujib were proved to be untrue. We have since held our breadth and watched his son's star rise in Bollywood. InshAllah, one day he will be mature enough to play Sheikh Mujib instead of his father.

In the meantime the increasing success of Indian animation bodes well for the possibility of a grand, feature length animation movie on the life and times of Sheikh Mujib.

Here at home we also are developing our movie industry with great thought and passion. Recent bumper hits include "Gari Keno Jai Na" and "Flight Keno Cancelled".

The future is bright indeed.
