Re: [ALOCHONA] Bangladesh Fooled By Indian Tansit Deal--Says who?

Mr. Rahman,

You just let the cat (or shall I say the dog) out of the bag! And it's barking is getting louder.

Your last statement really speaks volume: the factories are going into foreign ownership and cheap imports from India is flooding the market. And what have our great leaders done about it?

It is amazing to see how blinkered the views of some of the alochoks are. We are free to say whatever we want - but at the end logic dictates everything. In the world of business one does not depend on others kindness or goodwill but one uses ones knowledge and expertise to get the best deal for his or her country.

At the beginning of this year when our great leader was visiting India then she stated to the media that India will not do anything that will harm the interest of Bangladesh. Did she demanded that India should lift all trade barriers/tariff immediately so Bangladesh can sell her goods and services to India unchallenged like Bangladesh is allowing India? And did India expressed her sorrow for being such unjust and put it right straight way? Yeah - and there lies the problem.

Bangladesh could have make this deal from position of strength, instead she has rolled over like a puppy and agreed to sign a deal that will provide no tangible benefit to Bangladesh. India needs this deal more than Bangladesh does.

Livelihoods of millions depends on the garment industry and look what is happening. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee.

Why is it that if one opposes AL's policy he becomes a paki dog or one opposes BNPs stance on foreign policy he becomes a RAW agent? Could it be that some of the alochoks do not have mental capacity to reason beyond this shallow thinking? This is just pathetic! So according to them all Bangladeshis are traitors - they are either looking after the interest of India or Pakistan but not Bangladesh - you could not get any dumber than this - could you?

I urge all Bangladeshi businessmen, lawyears, teachers and workers from all walks of life to debate about this matter in a peacefull, respectable way and I am sure you will see the truth. Please do not ignore this or our future generation will suffer.

There is no need to show violence or exchange insults like some of our alochoks are doing, which I just find very pathetic. Please grow up and see some common sense!

Salam
