Stupid is putting it mildly.
The Norwegians made it plain that they were not alleging fraud. Having contributed to the current crisis they may either backtrack to honour their Nobel foundation or escalate to honour their Telenor company. Either way, they can let Bangladesh do any dirty work for them.
It is ONLY Hasina and AL that is wildly alleging corruption. She is just jealous that her precious Indira Gandhi Peace Prize is not as well recognised as Dr Yunus' Nobel Peace Prize. She is just jealous that with all her honorary doctorates no one calls her doctor but Yunus is called Dr though he has only one doctorate. She is just vindictive because Dr Yunus dared to enter politics - which is her personal domain. Her governments, past and present, are also accountable for the actions of GB.
Her comments on the nation's image are laughable - she has ruined the nation's image along with Khaleda. Her comments on investigations are laughable - she never wants an investigation into any of her supporters no matter what the allegation.
Last night's press conference revealed she still retains her filthy mouth. I suspect a lot of rich food and handshakes with men and fawning party men abroad just made her happy enough to show her true self.
A truely disgusting display of arrogance and ignorance.
She sent a clear message to her partymen - carry on as usual.
Perhaps even more disgusting are some of her more educated supporters who just close their eyes and hope all the bad stuff will just disappear. Wimps.
