[ALOCHONA] Book review: You May Get Sold But Don’t Sell My Country

You May Get Sold But Don't Sell My Country

Description
This book contains details of how tyranny has risen in Bangladesh, the country that was founded in 1971 with the principle of democracy. It hopes to answer why and how the hopes and aspirations of our people have been ruined due to corrupt politicians, intellectuals, and bureaucrats. It hopes to answer why and how the evil totalitarian took place and how the current tyranny has been strengthened in such a horrific stage that the peace-loving people can't express their opinion under the ferocity of Sheikh Hasina. In my writings, I have described the historical background of our country up to the modern tyrannical era, which shouldn't exist anywhere on the face of the planet in the twenty-first century. In my writings, I have described how such an atrocious regime has been strengthened and why shouldn't they be forgiven.

Freedom and liberty are the utmost universal values that no human being can sacrifice. In this book, I have passionately written my views based on the real scenarios of Bangladesh and mixed with some essays and poems. Knowing all about the risks, I believe that to live as human beings, we can't surrender to any dictator or oppressive regime. Surrendering to them will strengthen the evils, and we must restrain them by any means. No evil regime should represent any country or a nation or deny the very fundamental rights of their people. And Bangladesh is not an exception. My main objective in writing this book is to protect the people of our country, Bangladesh, and its sovereignty. God bless Bangladesh and the entirety of mankind.

According to the author Mohammad D. Hossain -

"It hopes to answer why and how the evil totalitarian took place and how the current tyranny has been strengthened in such a horrific stage that the peace-loving people can't express their opinion under the ferocity of Sheikh Hasina."

‎"We wanted to establish a country in which there will be no room for corruption, nepotism, cronyism, exploitation, discrimination, abuse of power, injustice, and so forth. Our iconic leader, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, pledged to us all these issues in his lifelong politics. His name and the message of the Six-point program were echoed all over Bangladesh to protect our legitimate rights. He did have a unique thunder voice that had tremendous influence to convince our people from all levels. The people of Bangladesh united and supported him with absolute trust in him as our leader.

The following are pertinent questions: Was he honest about his pledges? Did he respect the blood of our martyrs? What was his administrative style? How long did it take him to be known as a totalitarian? As a teenager, I felt like I was betrayed by him. This was not the leader I knew since my childhood. I knew him as a great leader of high morality. I personally trusted him as a genuine leader who would pursue democracy and not monarchy. All of us followed him and were ready to do anything for his success. He was the man who ascended like Superman and took his place in the minds and hearts of our people. But he descended like a rollercoaster soon after he took charge of the newborn Bangladesh. He dismally failed to uphold the popularity and trust of the people and became iniquitous. As a consequence, he not only ruined himself but also the hopes and aspiration of our people.

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.—Abraham Lincoln It didn't take him decades to be a tyrant like the other dictators of the modern world. It took him less than three years to be the champion of totalitarians. It was certainly too much and too fast. But the consequence didn't forgive him. His downfall became inevitable swiftly. He was doomed along with all of his available family members on August 15, 1975. He was no longer known as Bangabandhu to the majority. History did not end there. The dynamic of seductive illusion continued to rise to his progeny, and currently, our country is reversing back to the same devastating course. Under this circumstance, I couldn't remain silent and started to write against the rerising tyranny in Bangladesh. I couldn't pick up my arms during the liberation war in 1971, but it is the time to pick up my pen to reject the current ferocity of Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh is going through its toughest challenge, and its sovereignty is under threat. The people of Bangladesh turned mute due to the atrocious current regime of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The external intruders have taken full control to loot out Bangladesh due to Hasina's traitorous policy. Myths and propagandas are being spread all over the world to criminalize Bangladesh as one of the terrorist countries just for dirty politics. Is she really working for Bangladesh? The current regime is trying to ruin Bangladesh with false and fabricated allegations against their opponents and damage the image of our country throughout the world. They already got sold to outsiders. This insidious group does not hesitate to blame our own people with unfounded grounds. The historical background of their root is clear to all."
