I have a friend settled in Kolkata who had M.A in English from DU. Sometimes I share with him our debates in Mukto-mona. In one occasion he asked me,"If these guys are mukto-monas, then who are bishakto-monas?"

Most of these 'wise' bloggers here write about things they have least
idea on. India has more poor people than all of Africa combined. Can
the 'wise' lady Ms. Majid suggest a way to eliminate poverty from
anywhere? She might give it a try in her backyard, viz., Madison
Square Garden, where the homeless, jobless and starving sleep in
cardboard cartoons.
There is hardly any difference between unskilled person and a pest of
the rodent variety. For every dollar spent on charity, only a couple
of dimes end up to the people who need it.
You feed a poor on charity, next thing he does is to 'multiply and
inherit the earth', but as J. Paul Getty observed, 'not it's
resources'. One sure way of eliminating poor had been to make them
