Point taken! Yet, Sunil being a powerful figure should have abstained from any such mammalian adventures with this lady. What kind of quality did he see in her except some poor writings. I call it very poor judgement from Sunil side.

We are all products of a patriarchal society. Every thing of us including our religions are biased. I thought I would not make any comment on the Taslima-Sunil issue. But noticing that almost everybody is blaming Taslima, I would request the muktomonas to get rid of his or her prejudice before accusing Taslima flatly. This is outrageous. Sunil is no god, Taslima is no goddess either. Taslima is internationally more renowned than Sunil. She is uncompromising, Sunil is not. I would ask every male person to be honest and tell his conscience if he has ever availed himself of the opportunity of sexually abusing or molesting a less privileged woman whosoever she might be. Our society is full of such crimes.
Sent from my iPhone=Those of us who have some basic understanding of Islam, we have been saying this all along about Taslima. She is a scandal monger and will do anything to get some attention. Sunil is a towering figure in Bangla literature and he has nothing to gain from having an affair with Taslima. Besides she has been saying similar stuff about many others and it is unlikely that, men cannot resist her at all. She is not exactly the prettiest bulb on a Christmas tree. I generally don't like to comment on how people's appearance but this aspect is important to have a dispassionate analysis of the alleged incident.
She is not a nun for sure but she is not a movie star either. If Sunil is really into this kind of stuff, he can do much better than "Taslima" for sure and Sunil is not stupid either.
Again, technically no one can be 100% sure of this allegation but based on her past tendencies of distortion and exaggeration, I would wait on Taslima to bring more proof to establish her allegation (Personal opinion here!).

The award-winning feminist writer tweeted: "Sunil Gangopadhyay is for book banning. He sexually harassed me & many other women. He is the President of the Sahitya Akademi. Shame shame!"
Further: "Sunil Gangopadhyay asked former WB govt to ban my book Dwikhandita. Now he is speaking against book banning. Such a hypocrite!� No Bengali has courage to tear off the mask of writer Sunil Gangopadhyay, the hypocrite and women abuser."
Taslima got a good deal of response to her tweet, prompting her to tweet back on Monday.One of her tweets read: "Reason Sunil Ganguly behind to ban my book, I was tearing off the masks of women abusers lyk (like) him. Sunil Gangapadhyay was the mastermind behind banning of my book Dwikhandita and my banishment from West Bengal."
In response, Sunil told The Statesman: "Why is she speaking out so late?" He said he isn't on Twitter, nor does he give any importance to such "baseless allegations".
