RE: [mukto-mona] Four Malala of Afganistan.

Shouldn't you have been a little more aware of the real situation of public education system in Pakistan than join the hype of a sign up campaign for a "meaningless" Nobel Peace Prize for Malala?

What is the new Education Law? It is not clear from the incomplete excerpt. Didn't Pakistan have mandatory and free primary education for all irrespective of sex?

Yesterday the Pakistani national assembly unanimously passed "The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill". It would provide free, compulsory education for all children in Pakistan. Malala and her fellow youth activists should be proud! Send them a message of support to keep up the good work: http://bit.ly/supportmalala

Not that I care about what is in Farida's head or how much Roubles she had accumulated from Breshnev and his cohorts, I think this discussion is turning out to be a total BS. Where is the beef, my friend?
Why not discuss what would be so important to get a Nobel for Malala when liberals are not doing their part of the fight? Should Malala lead the cowards because they have not figured out how to fight?
Please put forward some arguments to make your points (the same goes for Farida too)!
Thank you.

Farida,

Your problem is that I get truckloads of  kosher shekels delivered to my garage every Sunday morning, while your roubles are worthless and are used as toilet paper in the brothels of Warsaw.

So sorry, but you should have insisted to be paid in Cuban cigars. Now you are bitter at me for your wrong bets havign chosen to live off the travails of Americans while serving its enemies.

Me, I took the oath to serve Canada and its Queen and are sworn to protect its constitution from parasites as well as termites that seek to undermine my country.

Buzz off and stay away in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or Afghanistan. That may the right place to serve the dogs of Jihad. Until then I am having a party spending Shekels and Greenbacks.

Want some? You are welcome anytime. Just let me know so I can store some Lysol and Febreeze.

May I ask why a 14yr. old girl's life, disturbed already by the local thug's bullet, needs to be further ruffled up by a "rightfully deserved" Nobel Peace Prize?  Who would be the beneficiaries of such a 'rightful' gesture?  Is there nothing to be done towards girls' education in Pakistan in the current state of affairs other than hampering the normal growth of Malala Yusoufzai? Hasn't she done her part, and is it not the task of the rest of the world to do the needful towards achieving the desired goal of girls' education in Pakistan?
Another simultaneously important thing is the rise and rise of Taliban in the entire region, which world powers were behind the rise and how disruptive they are to the local people's daily lives. Add to the misery of these Swat Valley civilians, the drone strikes.  How the drones blow up body parts of babies is not Tarek's concern.  We are staring at the absurdity of an undeserving Nobel Peace Prize winner who orders drone strikes and a soliciting a child to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for being the victim of a victim of drone strikes.

Where is the space for secularism to breathe in this scenario set up and controlled by the neo-con right-wing diabolical machine of American politics? It is subtle and clever.

Regardless meaningless personal and hateful debate.I and my wife have already signed
the petition, which Tarek Fatah so rightfully has initiated for a young muslim teenager
to get her a rightfully deserved Nobel Peace Prize for secular education.

My wife and I strongly feel, it will be an immense psychological boost in the muslim world
to have secular education to adapt with the time for all muslims.Unless, muslims of the
world change and adapt with the time... muslims will remain disunited and West will have
the upperhand to colonize and disunite Muslim community.

It is really unfortunate to witness a meaningless debate between two enlightened souls. This will simply strengthen the hands of the fanatics and fundamentalists who are watching the debate with great enthusiasm.
