Re: [mukto-mona] Re: Khaleda Zia is not muslim, rather a NASTIK

I am not sure if there are any specific Quoranic Ayats or Suras forbidding women to become rulers or judges. But I don't want to call the Bangladeshi or Pakistani Muslims irreligious. I have a feeling that any holy book should have the provision to be reinterpreted. An author may have many editions of his book during his own life time. I see the prophet of Islam as a dynamic person. I am sure if he were alive today he would have taken many subsequent developments into cognizance and updated many edicts. The problem is that politics has made this reinterpretation impossible. The holy books seem to be monopoly of the fundamentalists who use religion to capture power.

The other day I was watching a debate between a BNP leader and the head of Islami oikyo Jote. The latter was very vocal against Jamat. But he showed his disapproval of a female president for the country. He did not refer to any theological theories though,he gave his own explanation.

Yes, ladies are not allowed to be Ruler or Judge according to the laws of the Quran. All the muslims of Bangladesh vote for the ladies by going against the Quran!

Such as, illiterate Khaleda Zia is crying crocodile tears for Islam in a "Democratic Country" to protect ISLAM! Very ridiculous. Followers/protectors of this kind of hypocrites (Munafeq) are also enemy of both Islam and Democracy.
