Are these people sane? They seem to be angry at trees. Can a person, who is brought up in an alluvial land, like Bangladesh, be so angry at trees? Are they really from Bangladesh? Could they be desert dwellers or come back after living in the desert for a long time? The fact is - somehow they have developed a fascination for the desert. The way weather is changing in Bangladesh - their dream may become a reality soon. But, can they wait that long? Obviously, not! Either ways, it's sad to witness the outburst of their mindset.
One of my friend once reminded me - our brain cells need stimulation and relaxation to maintain normal viability. Our brain receives these ingredients through mental challenges and entertainments. If it is not balanced, it will behave erratically. I do see deficiency of both these ingredients in these groups of people. They are abnormal human beings, in my view. What do you think?

I agree with Mr. Rahman. The authorities should dig into the matter. The author of the 13-point demand i.e. I mean the Islamist group Hefajat cannot do it!
I propose a 3-member investigation committee comprised of Mowdud, Amwar, and Khoka be formed!

As a person who LOVES Dhaka, I was sad when I heard of unnecessary cutting of trees. I was more troubled when I know prophet Muhammad (PBUH) cautioned Muslims NOT to cut trees even war time. I hope our authorities will dig down and see who is behind such violence.
Despite our differences of opinion, it is our country and anyone who cause damage to it, should know they will not be spared.

ইত্তেফাকের এক সাংবাদিক এই ছবিটি তুলেছেন। ছবিটি শেয়ার করার পরে তার কাছ থেকে জানা গেছে এই মাদ্রাসায় পড়ুয়া ছেলেটি ভয় পেয়ে পুলিশ ভাইটার পিছনে এভাবে আঁকড়ে ধরে ছিলো। সাংবাদিক অবাক হয়ে দেখেছেন যে পুলিশ হুই হুই দৌড়া দৌড়া বলে তাড়িয়ে দিচ্ছিলো, কিন্তু প্রায় মিনিট খানেক সময় এই ১৪/১৫ বছরের ছেলেটিকে তার পিছনের আশ্রয় থেকে তাড়িয়ে বা সরিয়ে দেয়নি। এটাই তো মানবতা, তাই না ভাইরা ও আপুরা?

আমাদের দেশের পরিস্থিতি খুবই খারাপ। আসুন না; আমরা সরকারের আশায় বসেনা থেকে পাশের মানুষটির বিপদে পাশে দাঁড়ানোর চেষ্টা করি? আসুন না দেখিয়ে দেইযে আসলে আমরা বেশির ভাগ মানুষই ভাল; আমরা রুখে দাঁড়াতে পারি সেই মুষ্টীমেয়জল্লাদের বিরুদ্ধে...আর না নীরবতা; আর না নীরব প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীর ভূমিকায় থাকা..
