General Gerard Lake C in C OF English East India Companys Bengal Army and C in C India defeats the French trained Maratha Army and captures Delhi.

So called Mughal Emperor previously a third rate pensioner of Hindu Marathas now becomes a Third rate pensioner of English East India Company.

The Mughal king watcched the battles from his palace towers and regretted that the highly cultured French were defeated and replaced by the haughty and crude British !
