BNP's Salahuddin has finally been found, hiding in India. He claims to have no recollection of the entire two months of his disappearance! His wife, who has been making a lot of noise in the media claiming he was abducted by undercover police, stated she spoke with him shortly after she met with Khaleda Zia today. All of this just shows that this entire episode was a stage managed drama by the BNP to try and discredit our Awami League Government.
You also have several human rights organizations such as Odhikar and Human Rights Watch who have been reporting that he was abducted, without any proof or investigation whatsoever. This entire incident really discredits them, especially as they have been very vocal on reporting Salahuddin's disappearance to the international media.
I wonder how many other cases of their alleged "forced disappearances" are also such stage managed dramas. The Government cannot control someone disappearing and going into hiding. BNP is known to lie. Odhikar and Human Rights Watch just lost credibility.
বিএনপির সালাহ উদ্দিনকে অবশেষে ভারতে পালিয়ে থাকা অবস্থায় পাওয়া গিয়েছে। অন্তর্ধানের পুরো দুইমাসের কোন স্মৃতিই মনে করতে পারছেন না তিনি। সালাহউদ্দিন সাহেবের স্ত্রী যিনি গণমাধ্যমে অনেকদিন ধরেই অভিযোগ করে আসছিলেন যে, সাদা পোশাকধারী পুলিশ তার স্বামীকে অপহরণ করেছে, তিনিই আজ খালেদা জিয়ার সাথে দেখা করার পর বলেছেন, সালাহ উদ্দিনের সাথে তার কথা হয়েছে। দেখা যাচ্ছে যে, পুরো ঘটনাটিই আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারকে বিব্রতকর অবস্থায় ফেলার জন্য বিএনপির পূর্বপরিকল্পিত একটি সাজানো নাটক।
এছাড়াও আপনি কিছু মানবাধিকার সংস্থাকে দেখে থাকবেন যেমন অধিকার এবং হিউম্যান রাইটস ওয়াচ, যারা কোনো প্রমাণ এবং তদন্ত ছাড়াই বলে আসছিলো যে তাকে অপহরণ করা হয়েছে। এই পুরো ঘটনা আসলে তাদের ব্যার্থতাকেই প্রমাণ করে দেয়, কারণ সালাহ উদ্দিনের অন্তর্ধান নিয়ে তারা আন্তর্জাতিক গনমাধ্যমে খুব দৃঢ়তার সাথে রিপোর্ট করে আসছিলো।
আমি ভেবে অবাক হচ্ছি, তাদের কথিত "গুম" করার এরকম কতো সাজানো নাটকই না আছে! সরকার কারো উধাও হয়ে যাওয়া এবং লুকিয়ে পড়া নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারেনা। বিএনপি মিথ্যে বলে, সবাই তা জানে। অধিকার এবং হিউম্যান রাইটস ওয়াচও তাদের গ্রহণযোগ্যতা হারালো।
