The fact that India is concerned over the religious radicalism in Bangladesh is not a secret. Anyone with some limited political knowledge will be able to guess it. The fact that, someone from a religious minority group is telling it should not be an out of e norm claim.
You should know that BNP started out with a program to rehabilitate Pakistani collaborators by giving key government positions, including Prime Minister, and other Ministerial positions in less than 5 years after the very independence of that country that those collaborators vehemently opposed. Not only that, they are being convicted of genocide during the independence struggle. I think the initiative to rehabilitate collaborators at the get go of the party tells something about their political view of the country.
The goal is to introduce secularism in Bangladesh. That is not going to come overnight; it's a journey, and the country needs to be on the track for secularism if we want to achieve that goal. What I mean is that - country achieves some progress, however small it may be, towards secularism when Awami League is in power. BNP/Jamaat, on the other hand, will make progress towards religious radicalism during their rule. So, you need to make a pick out of these two options.

If it were how you explained it, Dr. Roy, I think it was foolish for the non-Muslim group to show that India was very much concerned. The banner would not help them, India's serious concerns in deed would.
India surely wanted a secular and better civilized nation in the eastern side of it; but to blame only BNP/Jamaat for the failure of Bangladesh to remain secular is wrong. Awami League is very much to blame as well. Even the present prime minister plans to build a 'model mosque' in every sub-district of the country with state funds! Clearly, defeating the 'Pakistani collaborators' would not be enough to establish secularism in Bangladesh.

So, I am sure, if Awami League is still true to this principle, this party should be able to garner collaboration of India to defeat the Pakistani collaborators and supporters, once again.

Hindi uses Sanskrit alphabet too! It shows both you and your colleague are ignorant about the origin of Indo-European languages. Ask a 7th or 8th grader in Bangladesh about it if he/she is taking Sanskrit as a supplementary subject. Problem with some narrow minded Muslims is that they are free to use Arabic and Urdu whenever they choose but hell breaks loose when they see Hindus/Budhists using Sanskrit alphabets. Good for goose but not so good for gander? It seems like an unmistakable signature of low self-confidence.
