Ms Farida Majid is no scholar of Islam. She is just a bigot. Her observations are myopic and clouded by her prejudices against Islamists of Bangladesh and other countries. I have not seen any academic response from her on any matter .She should be ignored.

Now please watch this very disturbing Islamophobic bluster. When the guy says he has "overwhelming evidence" of Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, Sudan and even Iran brutalising women, mutilating and murdering their fellow citizens, I can think of Pakistani Military Generals, especially Zia-ul-Huq, the recent Islamic extremism in Pakistan, our own Bangladeshi Golam Azam, Nizami, Quamruzzaman, et al.in 1971, and on the internet, the intrepid misogynist Islamist, S. A. Hannan & his gong. How do I rebut this speaker? Of course I can argue by picking on his faulty history and logic. But the "overwhelming evidences" are hard to deny!
