Re: [mukto-mona] 'I can't be sure God DOES NOT exist': World's most notorious atheist Richard Dawkins admits he is in fact agnostic

Scientific proof of God is not an issue that can be debated.

Supposing that Dawkins is wrong all along, is any of the messiahs or the prophet of Islam right?  Why then, do they contradict each other?  And why are the scriptures scientifically incorrect?  Nobody in right mind should debate any member of the clergy or its follower.

Richard Dawkins cannot say for sure that God does not exist! So what? Did he say that he was sure about the existence of God?

Richard Dawkins and all scholarly, honest and rational people can see and admit the uncertainty in their thoughts. The idiots (read religious fools/bigots) are the people who do not need knowledge and reasoning to be certain about what they think and for what they are willing to kill and die.

To Saurav Some and most people in this forum, I would say, let us try not to waste too much time trying to put senses into the few idiots that are given the freedom to express their views here.

Hi,

I think the report has potential to create misunderstanding about what Dawkins says and what actually reported in the news.

It is logically obvious for an atheist to be unable to disprove existence of god. Consider an extreme example. Let us consider, Saurav, a man, believe that he does not exist. Now who will be interested to prove that he exists? Obviously not Saurav. Because he has already denied his existence. The people who have any clue or evidence in support of his existence can only claim that Saurav exists. Therefore, the ownership of proving existence of something lies on the person who claims.

Therefore, asking an atheist to prove non-existence of god is meaningless and irrelevant. It is responsibility of theist to prove that god exists because they claim his/her existence.

Thanking you.

With best regards,

Saurav
