I share your sentiment; the reason why there is no protest, intimidation, and attack on anyone is because USA still enjoys the dominant European/Caucasian white-culture. I do not know how long this will last, the way demography is changing here.
While-race, in general, is the most superior race in the world; I sincerely believe this. The most uncultured are the ones that are clinging to thousands of year's old unreformed, unvarnished, and crude religious cultures. There, you will see protest, intimidate, and attack based on such article, not here.

Well, I feel proud to be an American. Here a mainstream newspaper can publish the story of someone giving up his Christian faith, and neither the writer nor the newspaper is ostracized by any crowd or 'religious scholar'.
