[ALOCHONA] Re: Even Khaleda will not be spared: Qamrul

I think, some clown ministers including Qamrul Islam won't be spared from "Jonotar Rosh" (people's wrath).

'বাবু কহে হেসে, বেটা সাধুবেশে
পাকা চোর অতিশয়!'
আমি শুনে হাসি, আঁখিজলে ভাসি,
এই ছিল মোর ঘটে,
তুমি মহারাজ, সাধু হলে আজ,
আমি আজ চোর বটে।

Even Khaleda will not be spared: Qamrul

Dhaka, Mar 30 (bdnews24.com) – State minister for law Qamrul Islam on Friday said the opposition BNP chairperson will have to face justice for the 'misdeeds committed during the last BNP-led government regime'.

"The investigation reports on the misdeeds committed during your tenure have reached the government. No-one will be spared on the issue. Everyone will be brought to justice. Khaleda Zia will also be brought to book," he said at a human chain programme in front of the National Press Club on Friday.

"The trial cannot be stopped by any means," he added.

Qamrul said almost 88 percent people of the country including the new generation want execution of the war crimes trial. The trial of the top war criminals including former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Ghulam Azam will be completed during the present government's tenure, he said.

Ruling Awami League-backed Bangabandhu Prajanma League organised the human chain programme demanding trial of the war criminals of the 1971 Liberation War.

The junior law minister said the trial of the sensational 10-truck arms haul case, Aug 21, 2004 grenade attack case and money laundering case filed against senior BNP vice-chairman Tarique Rahman would be completed before the term of the government ends.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the money laundering case against Tarique, Khaleda's elder son, with the Gulshan Police Station on Nov 5, 2009 on charges of siphoning off Tk 204 million to Singapore in the period between 2003 and 2007. The trial in the case began on Aug 8 last year.

Taqique is also one of the main accused in 10-truck arms haul and Aug 21 grenade attack cases.

About BNP's boycott of parliament, Qamrul said, "We knew that they would join parliament to keep their remunerations and allowances flowing and to retain their membership."

After a 77-day hiatus, the BNP had joined the eighth session on Mar 15 the same year.

BNP chief whip Zainul Abedin Farroque at a function on Thursday said they would not attend parliament session from Thursday unless statements by government leaders about alleged funding by Pakistan's spy agency ISI of the party were expunged frpm parliamentary proceedings.
