Dear All, I want to extend my heartfelt Shuvo Pahela-Boishakh to the members of this forum. This morning, I used to go to Ramna Batomul early in the morning and initiate a joyful day. I miss that feeling now being away from Bangladesh. This day, now, I sit in front of the TV to express my solidarity with those who are sitting under the Ramna Batomul. I am so glad that this day has been gaining popularity in Bangladesh in spite of all attacks from the international cultural aggression. I am so glad that - we have found a day where we can forget our religious differences and become oneself as Bangalee. This is our future; this is our destiny. Bangladesh is for Bangalees. Religion is not culture; culture is not religion. Culture is the property of a Jati (Jati-shattya), and it does not interfere with our religion. Some misguided people are brainwashed enough by a foreign cultural movement to sustain continued attack on our cultural heritage, the Bangalee-Jatiotabad (cultural movement of Bangalee). That foreign cultural movement is on the rise again, but - on this day, today, I see renewed hope in the eyes of Bangalee women, children, and men that they will fight this foreign cultural invasion at all cost. Long Live Pahela Boishakh! Long Live Bangladesh! Joy Bangla! Jiten Roy |
