Samir Sengupta's memoir on the famous Bengali poet
Shakti Chattopadhyay: "Many poets of our
generation, those who started penning poetry in
the 1950s, never liked Tagore’s poetry; but
surprisingly, it was hard to find anyone who
didn’t like his songs. One could safely say
without exaggeration, they were all devotees of
Tagore’s songsâ€"genuine, mad lovers...."
This includes four audio recordings of Shakti
