Re: [mukto-mona] Re: [notun_bangladesh] Indian Navy concerned over Bangladesh's decision to buy submarines from China

@Em Pannah and others,

Many of you are so proud that Bangladesh bought 2 submarines from China, even though no one knows the justification for them.

Some of you are concerned about the price of these military toys, and believe that this was an unnecessary indulgence on the part of Bangladesh.

I believe these submarines come with very nominal price tags, so I do not worry about the price tag. China is eager to expand her military tentacles around India, which they lost in the east of India. They will do anything to regain the control in the east of India. These submarines could very well be gifts from China. So, the cost of these submarines is not my concern at all; my real concern is – this is a provocation to India. Are we ready to follow the Pakistani route once again? I could be happier, if Bangladesh could get them from South Korea or Japan. Oh, yes, that would be beyond our means.

We may have gotten submarines at a bargain price, but every political step has a price tag also. This reminds me of the recent comments by the Chinese Ambassador; he said – China wants to see liberated Bangladesh. Do you understand what that means?

I can only guess, and my guess would be that - China wants to see Bangladesh is liberated from the pro-liberation forces. Based on the way things are going recently, China may not have to wait very long.

India needs poor neighbors to sustain its multi cultural society. Sri Lanka which made huge success in economic and educational front in 70s was destroyed by India. Have you seen the co-chair of BAL election committee, Indian Ambassador's meeting with Ershad, Joy and others. It worries me that these hyenas are in the process of creating another Afghanistan.

How current Bangladeshi impasse helps India? Could you please elaborate your brilliant analysis? If we have to believe your conspiracy theories, then we got to blame India for all our evils and chaos for last 42 years. Are we the real true and naive angels of the east? Are we the best and honest people of world? Look, whining has become our national habit and you are not an exception. There are people like you and me burning and plundering the country as we speak and you think India can stop us doing that? That is called an idiotic logic! How come it can't stop violence in Pakistan? I bet you got another conspiracy theory there too?

Dear Readers:

It is not unseen that few Bangladeshi-origin have more love for a neighboring country than Bangladesh (even dare to question the value of Bangladesh's sovereignty), but almost all Bangladeshi-origin have high level of love for their motherland Bangladesh (and its sovereignty).

What a patriot!  Iran is also sovereign and much more resourceful.  Then why it is not being allowed to have nuclear weapons.  Why is Syria being stripped of WMD?  Make sure that buying submarines don't turn your beloved nation bankrupt and somehow lose overvalued sovereignty.

Dear Readers,

We must remember that Bangladesh is an independent country and it can buy two (2) or two thousand (2000) submarines (whatever and whenever Bangladesh likes once it can afford the purchase) from China or any country in the world.

Indian Navy concerned over Bangladesh's decision to buy submarines from China

India is concerned with Bangladesh's decision to order two submarines from China.

"Why would Bangladesh need submarines? This decision by the government there and the ongoing strife in the country is a matter of concern for us. We also suspect that Chinese submarines are sneaking into Indian territorial waters in the Bay of Bengal region, though none has been detected as yet. This is reason enough for greater naval presence in the region.

At the moment, India isn't really prepared for any conflict in the Bay of Bengal region near West Bengal due to the lack of adequate infrastructure," a senior Navy officer said.
