1. I don't understand why the so called "spirits of 1971" cannot be the basis of our patriotism, national construction, and national reconstruction.
2. Bad governance by AL, BNP, and JP cannot be the reason for undermining the spirits of 1971.

However recently these words have been mostly ABUSED by crooks to extort money and power from their opposition (Political, ideological, business etc).
IF any political party did thought about the Bangladesh or spirit of 71, they could not have put us into the situation we are in. One party wants to go to power desperately and another wants to stay in it eagerly/desperately (Pick your word).
Who the hell is thinking about PEOPLE of this country or flag of this country?
I feel action speaks louder than words and actions of our major politicians ( I do not blame all of them but majority) made me think they do not care much about "Spirit of 71".
We are dividing this nation needlessly based on politics, ideology and religion.
Islam does NOT support vandalism or even hurting innocent people. Even those who are too eager to participate in some FICTIONAL "Holy war", do know Islam does NOT recognize this concept. It has been IMPORTED from Christian lexicon. As per scripture (And history) violence is only accepted as the last resort of self-defense.
Similarly, I do not think beating Bangladeshi citizens with flag pole was NEVER part of চেতনা
Over the years I have spoken to many leading figures of our war of independence and I have not found ANY genuine (Unless they are into politics) freedom fighter who approve the way this country is being run.
Today চেতনা has been downgraded to politics and marketing of ideology. Similar to how Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was hijacked by ONE political party from becoming a NATIONAL leader. I always look to him as national figure and I feel Ziaur Rahman was one of the TOP leaders of our war of independence and made permanent mark in our nation's history.
It is sad to watch so called educated people cannot even support established FACTS when it troubles their BIASED politics.
Unless we change ourselves, we cannot imagine having better leaders for this country. We have what we deserve and once we start to change (And make necessary sacrifices) we can hope for a better day. People of Delhi took the first step attempting to change "usual politics". I wish them best of luck. May this inspires us to ask for solid democracy in our country.
Until that time arrives, I pray for everyone in this country.

These spirits have been well reflected in the 1972 constitution which obviously needs to be improved over time to guarantee more and more power of people. Obviously Mujib violated it first and thereby undermining the spirits himself. This historical act is controversial. A lot of debates have been going on this issue.
2. Bad governance by AL, BNP, and JP cannot be the reason for undermining the spirits of 1971. This Chetona should be our vision and mission and the philosophical guidance.
