You can vote to the party you think will look after you. However I would say talk to everyone and when you find even one good person, do support him/her.

One of the reasons why Hindus are not getting any justice is because they are not united; they do not know how to talk in one voice. There is no leadership in their community; everybody is for themselves. If they could talk in one voice, they could be much better off today.
When we talk to US political leaders and other government officials in DC, they always want to know - how many religious minorities are there in Bangladesh. When we say - more than 10 million; they scratch their heads. It's hard to understand, 10 million people cannot influence the power politics in Bangladesh. We always find it difficult to explain also. We cannot say - minorities are too disorganized, and do not know how to use their political power. It's really a pathetic situation. But - I cannot just blame religious minorities for this situation; they have no other option available also. So, they have become a vote bank of AL.

Had there been option, such as BNP, they could use it. BNP should have taken this opportunity, but - they have bunch of big-brains in their leadership, who only know communal politics; they prefer to intimidate religious minorities, instead of trying to earn their support. So, religious minorities have no alternative, except to vote for AL. Although I should mention here - I see a slight shift in BNP politics recently towards religious minorities. It's very good sign for democracy in Bangladesh. But, it's hard to know - if it's election time political gesture or a permanent shift in their politics; I hope - it's the latter. I really - want to see an alternate choice for religious minorities in Bangladesh. When I talk about this point with other religious minorities, they think it's
just an election ploy to court religious minorities. I hope they are all wrong.

Many things Awami League (AL) does to spoil their chances of winning; this is one of the issues; nobody ever gets punished for attacking on religious minority communities. Even Biswajit case is still hanging, in spite of all evidences. It's hard to explain. No criminal has ever been punished for destruction of thousands of Hindu temples. Awami League Prime Minister just gives lip-service to Hindus. I know why - she knows Hindus has nowhere to go.
