"If Pakistan was not created due to the demand of Jinnah/Shere Bangla fazlul Hoq, we Bangladeshis should have lived under Indian rule today like Kashmiris and Hyderabadis."---Mr. Mohiuddin Anwar
Imagine a scenario of one unified India. A great leader or statesman from current Bangladesh part is the President of India or even some one is the Prime Minister. It could be possible. Right? Hindu majority India had Muslim/Shikh Presidents and currently a Shikh PM. A Hindu who converted to Buddhism is was one of the main architects of the Indian constitution.
Under the above scenario how would your statement look like?
I do not blame Jinnah alone for the partition. An objective history of the Indian national freedom movement indicates that the blame has to be equally shared by many Hindu leaders too.

If Pakistan was not created due to the demand of Jinnah/Shere Bangla fazlul Hoq, we Bangladeshis should have lived under Indian rule today like Kashmiris and Hyderabadis.
In that sense we should be grateful to Jinnah/Shere Bangla .
Mr. Hannan, Yes, religious bond is so strong that hundreds of innocent Muslims in Pakistan are dying regularly in bomb attaks by Muslims with strong religious convictions. How is that religous bond working in Pakistan? Jiten Roy
