Let me take your question and answer it. There is no specific US policy for Bangladesh. If they have one, it is not public as far I know. However, the common sense tells us that US would not support a religious state in Bangladesh knowing that there is no love lost between Americans and Islamists. When Americans and Pakistanis are fighting Taliban around Pakistan-Afghanistan border, I do not think they will promote another Taliban state in the east. If there is one in the future, it will die with its own weight because it will become a pariah state. That government needs to be bankrolled by Saudis and Pakistanis forever! Would they carry the burden? I do not think so. Moreover, if refugees start pouring to India, it will not stay silent. It might start pushing from the North and CHT side. Guess, what that would lead us to?

Mr. Anis and Mohiuddin are both members of American Democrats for convenience because they would not be able to extract any benefit from the Republicans. There is hypocrisy here because they love American secularism but they would not mind to take our own countrymen to the darkness of middle-ages. Secularism is good for them abroad but not so great for the minorities and progressives at home? Pretty silly thinking!

A. Like Mr. Anis Ahmed, I am also interested to know if there is really any US Policy in this area. Would you (the person indicated that) please share if you have any supporting document?
B. My original message was that 'I am really afraid of this "প্রিয় মাতৃ�shy;ূমি কি তালেবানী রাষ্ট্রের দিকে যাচ্ছে?" situation.' Please STOP it.
C.The bottom-line, to me, is to save our beloved Bangladesh, jointly, at any cost.


It is my humble submission to my Bangladeshi brothers and sisters that (please excuse me for repeating a similar, but not exactly the same, message with my comments and recommendations):

2. Bloggers should be duly punished if they used derogatory words against the sacred Islam/Holy Prophet (pbuh)
3. Non-Muslims are not necessarily Nastik as most of them believe in the creator in their own religious ways
4. Please let people of different religions and cultures live harmoniously in Bangladesh and in the world
5. Please STOP profanity and do not attack any religion - religions are sacred and must be honored
6. Please let religion be people's private affair and don't mingled sacred religions with state affairs
7. Bangladesh belongs to all Bangladeshis - Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and others alike
8. Please don't destroy the hard earned freedom of Bangladesh - let us save it jointly at any cost
9. Please maintain good but mutually respectable relationship with all the neighboring countries
10. Please compromise the political differences for the sake of motherland - precious Bangladesh
11. Please promote the freedom of speech - everybody has the right to speak but not to hurt others
12. Please drop the extremism and be MODERATE - establish your right and honor the right of others
13. Please STOP hortal - it is OK if you don't want to work but you must not violate others' right to work
14. Bangladesh belongs to its men and women equally - nobody should try to suppress the women's rights
15. Bangladeshi women needs to be organized to protect them from the fanatics and to exercise their lawful rights
16. Please promote technical education in Bangladesh - don't stay behind as the world is moving fast in technology

Being an American citizen you have to be careful , making  comments on Hefajat -e- Islam !!
Their demands are totally against US policy !!


 
Heartiest Congratulation to Hefazat workers to defy government obstacles to participate in the historic Long March. To preserve Islam their March helped our national  leaders to understand the reality
prevailing in our society. We should not ignore their demands rather government should consider
fulfilling their legitimate demand for the greater intest of the people of Bangladsesh.

Congratulation to the Hefazot-E-Islam for organizing the largest meeting in the history of Bangladesh despite BD government's all barricades, harsh restrictions, hartal and theatenings.
It was a big shoe slap to the BD government and Anti-Islam Bangladeshi Indians.
I salute the organizers for organizing the largest and exemplary peaceful demonstration.

I completely agree with the Hefazati Islam 13 points demands should be materialized through rational ways in Islamic point of view. There is no middle ground. Everybody,s action should be judged by Allah. Allah will not accept cleverly actions - human/animal statues�nbsp;built. Please remember and be careful what we are talking are/will be according to Islam.

জনকণ্�nbsp; রিপোর্ট ॥ ৩০ লাখ শহীদ আর আড়াই লাখ মা-বোনের সীমাহীন ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে স্বাধীনতা অর্জনের ৪২ বছর পরে এসে প্রিয় মাতৃ�shy;ূমি কি তালেবানী রাষ্ট্রের দিকে যাচ্ছে? অসাম্প্রদায়িক বাংলাদেশকে কি উগ্রবাদীদের আক্রমণ থেকে রক্ষা করা সম্�shy;ব হবে? রুদ্ধ হয়ে যাবে কি নারীর পথচলা? যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের বিচার ও জামায়াত-শিবির নিষিদ্ধের দাবিতে জেগে ও�nbsp;া গণজাগরণের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়িয়ে যাওয়া হেফাজতে ইসলামের ১৩ দফা আর তা বাস্তবায়নে প্রকাশ্য হুমকির পর জনমনে এমন আতঙ্কজনক প্রশ্নই ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে। উগ্রবাদীদের সঙ্গে বিএনপি নেত্রীসহ তাঁর জোটের প্রকাশ্য সম্পর্ক ও সরকারের নমনীয়তা আতঙ্ককে বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে বহুগুণে। অথচ, দেশের স্বাধীনতা ও সংবিধান, নারী অধিকারবিরোধী এ দাবি মানতে হলে �shy;েঙ্গে ফেলতে হবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রতীক অপরাজেয় বাংলাসহ সকল �shy;াস্কর্য, বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে এক নারী-পুরুষের সহশিক্ষা ও চলাচল। নেতৃত্ব বাদ দিয়ে বোরখা পরে ঘরের চার দেয়ালে বন্দী থাকতে হবে প্রধানমন্ত্রীসহ সকল নেত্রী এমনকি তাদের সমর্থক বিএনপি চেয়ারপার্সনকেও।
এতদিন জনরোষ এড়াতে হেফাজত নেতারা প্রচার চালিয়েছিল তাদের আন্দোলনে অন্য কোন দাবি নেই। দাবি কেবল মহানবীর বিরদ্ধে কটূক্তিকারী ব্লগারদের শাস্তি। তবে শুরু থেকে সরকারের নমনীয় অবস্থানের সুযোগে ক্রমেই বাড়তে থাকে জামায়াত সংশ্লিষ্ট এ সংগ�nbsp;নের দাবির সংখ্যা। গত কয়েকদিনের প্রস্তুতির শেষে শনিবার রাজধানীতে কয়েক লাখ মুসল্লির মহাসমাবেশে ১৩ দফা ঘোষণা করে হেফাজত আমির শাহ আহমদ শফীসহ অন্য নেতারা আগামী এক মাসের মধ্যে দাবি বাস্তবায়নের হুমকি দিলেন। বিএনপির চেয়ারপার্সনের হয়ে সংহতি জানাতে আসা বিএনপি নেতাদের পাশে রেখে হেফাজত নেতারা হুমকি দেন, ক্ষমতায় থাকতে হলে বা আসতে হলে ১৩ দফা মানতে হবে। অন্যথায় অবরোধসহ ক�nbsp;োর কর্মসূচী। হেফাজতের দাবির মধ্যে আছে আল্লাহ, রাসুল (সা.) ও ইসলাম ধর্মের অবমাননা এবং মুসলমানদের বিরুদ্ধে কুৎসা রোধে সর্বোচ্চ শাস্তি মৃত্যুদ-ের বিধান রেখে জাতীয় সংসদে আইন পাস। আছে ব্যক্তি ও বাকস্বাধীনতার নামে সব বেহায়াপনা, অনাচার, ব্য�shy;িচার, প্রকাশ্যে নারী-পুরুষের অবাধ বিচরণ, মোমবাতি প্রজ্বলনসহ সব বিজাতীয় সংস্কৃতির অনুপ্রবেশ বন্ধ করা। ইসলামবিরোধী নারীনীতি, ধর্মহীন শিক্ষানীতি বাতিল করে শিক্ষার প্রাথমিক স্তর থেকে উচ্চমাধ্যমিক স্তর পর্যন্ত ইসলাম ধর্মীয় শিক্ষাকে বাধ্যতামূলক করা। সরকারী�shy;াবে কাদিয়ানীদের অমুসলিম ঘোষণা এবং তাদের প্রচারণা ও ষড়যন্ত্রমূলক সব অপতৎপরতা বন্ধ করা, মসজিদের নগর ঢাকাকে মূর্তির নগরে রূপান্তর এবং দেশব্যাপী রাস্তার মোড়ে ও কলেজ-�shy;ার্সিটিতে �shy;াস্কর্যের নামে মূর্তি স্থাপন বন্ধ করা। জাতীয় মসজিদ বায়তুল মোকাররমসহ দেশের সব মসজিদে মুসল্লিদের নির্বিঘেœ নামাজ আদায়ে বাধাবিপত্তি ও প্রতিবন্ধকতা অপসারণ এবং ওয়াজ-নসিহত ও ধর্মীয় কার্যকলাপে বাধাদান বন্ধ করা, রেডিও- টেলি�shy;িশনসহ বি�shy;িন্ন গণমাধ্যমে দাড়ি-টুপি ও ইসলামী কৃষ্টি-কালচার নিয়ে হাসি�nbsp;াট্টা এবং নাটক-সিনেমায় নেতিবাচক চরিত্রে ধর্মীয় লেবাস-পোশাক পরিয়ে অ�shy;িনয়ের মাধ্যমে তরুণ প্রজন্মের মনে ইসলামের প্রতি বিদ্বেষমূলক মনো�shy;াব সৃষ্টির অপ্রয়াস বন্ধ করা, পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রামসহ দেশব্যাপী ইসলামবিরোধী কর্মকা-ে জড়িত এনজিও এবং খ্রীস্টান মিশনারিগুলোর ধর্মান্তকরণসহ সব অপতৎপরতা বন্ধ করা। দাবির তালিকায় আছে- রাসুলপ্রেমিক প্রতিবাদী আলেম-ওলামা, মাদ্রাসার ছাত্র ও তৌহিদী জনতার ওপর হামলা, দমন-পীড়ন, নির্বিচার গুলিবর্ষণ এবং গণহত্যা বন্ধ করা। দাবি তোলা হয়েছে, অবিলম্বে গ্রেফতারকৃত সব আলেম-ওলামা, মাদ্রাসাছাত্র ও তৌহিদী জনতাকে মুক্তিদান, দায়ের করা সব মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহার এবং আহত ও নিহত ব্যক্তিদের ক্ষতিপূরণসহ দুষ্কৃতকারীদের বিচারের আওতায় এনে ক�nbsp;োর শাস্তি দিতে হবে।�nbsp;
অর্থাৎ হেফাজতের সব দাবি মানতে হলে �shy;েঙ্গে দিতে হবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রতীক অপরাজেয় বাংলাসহ সব �shy;াস্কর্য, বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে নারী-পুরুষের সহশিক্ষা বা মেলামেশাও। পাশাপাশি দেশব্যাপী জামায়াত-শিবিরের সহিংসতায় গ্রেফতার নেতা-কর্মীদের মুক্তি দিতে হবে। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে অ�shy;িযানও চালানো যাবে না। শাহবাগে গণজাগরণ শুরুর পর চুপ থাকলেও কদিন পরই এর সঙ্গে জড়িতদের ইসলামবিরোধী আখ্যা দিয়ে তাদের বিচারের দাবিতে মা�nbsp;ে নামে হেফাজতে ইসলামী। একই দাবি জানায় জামায়াতে ইসলামীও। অবশ্য হেফাজতের কৌশলী দাবি, তাদের দাবির সঙ্গে জামায়াতের দাবির কোন সম্পর্ক নেই। নিজেদের জামায়াত সম্পৃক্ততাও অস্বীকার করছেন হেফাজত নেতারা। যদিও হেফাজতের প্রায় সব নেতাই একযুগ ধরে জামায়াতের সঙ্গে জোটবদ্ধ রাজনীতি করছে। হেফাজতের এসব দাবি মানতে হলে পুরো পাল্টে দিতে হবে বাংলাদেশের আর্থ-সামাজিক ব্যবস্থা, শিক্ষা পদ্ধতি। বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে রাষ্ট্রীয় বহু আচার, মুক্তিযুদ্ধের নাটক-সিনেমা নির্মাণ করা যাবে না, একত্রে চলাফেরা, চাকরি, পড়ালেখাও করা যাবে না। �shy;াস্কর্য আপত্তি কেন, জানতে চাইলে হেফাজতে ইসলামের উপদেষ্টা আ�nbsp;ারোদলীয় জোটের শরিক ইসলামী ঐক্যজোটের চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল লতিফ নেজামী বলেন, 'ইসলাম অনুযায়ী যে কোন প্রাণীর মূর্তি করা যাবে না।' �shy;াস্কর্যে তো কেউ পূজা দেয় না, তাহলে কি সমস্যাÑ জানতে চাইলে তিনি বলেন, 'পূজা না দিলেও কোন প্রাণীর আবক্ষ মূর্তি রাখা যাবে না।' তাহলে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অপরাজেয় বাংলা কি আপনারা �shy;েঙ্গে দেবেন?-জানতে চাইলে নেজামী বলেন, 'এক সময় মানুষ এটাও �shy;েঙ্গে দেবে।' কখন সেটা হবে, জানতে চাইলে তিনি বলেন, 'যখন মানুষ বুঝতে পারবে এটা ইসলামী ধ্যান ধারণার বিরোধী, তখন এটা হবে।' এটা কি কখনও হবে? জানতে চাইলে তিনি বলেন, 'এই জাগরণ তো এখন সারাদেশে শুরু হয়েছে।' সেনানিবাসে খালেদা জিয়ার বাড়িতেও তো জিয়াউর রহমানের একটি আবক্ষ মূর্তি ছিল, এটা নিয়ে কেন কথা বলেন না, জানতে চাইলে বিএনপির শরিক দলের নেতা ও হেফাজতে ইসলামের উপদেষ্টা বলেন, 'ওটা তো সেনানিবাসের �shy;েতরে ছিল। আমরা কেমনে জানব? তবে কোন ব্যক্তির �shy;ার্স্ক হলে সেটা যারই হোক, �shy;েঙ্গে ফেলতে হবে।' চারদলীয় জোট ক্ষমতায় থাকাকালে এই দাবি কেন জানাননি, জানতে চাইলে নেজামী বলেন, 'তখন তো �shy;াস্কর্য হয়নি।' শহীদ মিনারের বর্তমান রূপও পছন্দ নয় হেফাজত নেতাদের। তাদের দাবি এই রূপটি বিকৃত। শুরুতে এর সঙ্গে মসজিদ করার কথাও ছিল। তাই নামের শেষে মিনার শব্দটি যোগ করা হয়েছে। হেফাজতের চতুর্থ দাবি মানতে হলে ছেলে ও মেয়েদের একসঙ্গে শিক্ষা বন্ধ করতে হবে। একই শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্�nbsp;ানে ছেলে ও মেয়ে পড়তে পারবে না। বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে একই সঙ্গে চাকরি। ছেলে আর মেয়েদের মেলামেশাও বন্ধ করতে হবে।�nbsp;
নারীদের পর্দা ছাড়া পুরুষের সঙ্গে মেলামেশা করা যাবে না বলেও জানান নেজামী। হেফাজত নেতারা ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন, ইসলাম নারীদের বলেছে মাথা থেকে পা পর্যন্ত ঢেকে রাখতে। এখানেই শেষ নয়। মুক্তিযুদ্ধ নিয়ে নাটক-সিনেমায় স্বাধীনতাবিরোধীদের দেখানো যাবে না বলে ঔদ্ধত্যপূর্ণ আবদার তাদের। হেফাজত দাবি করছে, গণমাধ্যমে ধর্মীয় লেবাসধারী লোকদের নেতিবাচক�shy;াবে উপস্থাপন করা হয়। এতে তরুণ প্রজন্মের মনে ইসলামবিদ্বেষী মনো�shy;াব জন্মে এটা বন্ধ করতে হবে। সংগ�nbsp;নের ১৩ দফা দাবির মধ্যে নবম দাবি এটি। এই দাবির আড়ালে হেফাজত মূলত মুক্তিযুদ্ধের নাটক-সিনেমার কথাই বুঝিয়েছে। সে সময়কার মুসলিম লীগ, জামায়াতে ইসলামীর স্বাধীনতাবিরোধীদের পোশাকের প্রতি ইঙ্গিত করেই এই দাবি তোলা হয়েছে। তাহলে কি �shy;১ নিয়ে নাটক-সিনেমা বানানো যাবে না?- জানতে চাইলে আব্দুল লতিফ নেজামী বলেন, কেবল �shy;১-এর নাটক সিনেমাতেই নয়, অন্যগুলোতেও ইসলামী লেবাসধারীদের খলনায়ক হিসেবে তুলে ধরা হয়।' মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় রাজাকার-আলবদররা যে পোশাকে ছিলেন তা কেন তুলে ধরা যাবে না, জানতে চাইলে তিনি এড়িয়ে যান। কৌশলে জামায়াত শিবিরের নেতাদের মুুক্তি দাবি করে হেফাজত দাবি করা শুরু করেছে, দেশে আলেম ওলামা, মাদ্রাসার ছাত্র-শিক্ষক ও তৌহিদী জনতার ওপর হামলা, দমন, নির্বিচারে গুলিবর্ষণ ও গণহত্যা চলছে। এটা বন্ধ করতে হবে। আর গ্রেফতারকৃত নেতা-কর্মীদের মুক্তি চেয়েছে তারা। এদিকে ১৩ দফা ঘোষণার পর দেশজুরে উদ্বেগের সঙ্গে সরকার ও বিরোধীদলের অবস্থানের সমালোচনা করছেন সাধারন মানুষ। সরকারের সমালোচনা করার কারণ হচ্ছে, শুরু থেকে বিএনপি-জামায়াতের মদদদান প্রকাশ হওয়ার পর থেকে উগ্রবাদী এ গোষ্�nbsp;ীর বিরুদ্ধে শক্ত হলে এরা এতবড় ঔদ্ধত্য দেখাতে পারত না। অন্যদিকে জাতি হতবাক বিরোধীদল ও তার নেত্রীর নারীবিরোধীদের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কে। ১৩ দফা দাবি দেশের সংবিধানপরিপন্থী ও মৌলবাদী রাষ্ট্রে পরিণত করার ষড়যন্ত্র বলে মনে করছেন বিশিষ্টজনরা। বিশিষ্ট আইনজ্ঞ ও গণফোরা স�shy;াপতি ড. কামাল হোসেন সাংবাদিকদের কাছে প্রতিক্রিয়া ব্যক্ত করে বলেন, হেফাজতের ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতাবাদসহ তাদের অধিকাংশ দাবি সংবিধানপরিপন্থী ও রাষ্ট্রবিরোধী। কোন�shy;াবেই এসব দাবি বাস্তবায়ন করা যাবে না। শিক্ষানীতির বিরুদ্ধে তোলা প্রশ্ন নিয়ে রবিবার শিক্ষামন্ত্রী নুরুল ইসলাম নাহিদ বলেন, আলেম-ওলামা, শিক্ষাবিদ, গবেষকসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট সবার সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে শিক্ষানীতি গৃহীত হয়েছে। সুতরাং এই শিক্ষানীতি নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলার কোন সুযোগ নেই।
একাত্তরের ঘাতক দালাল নির্মূল কমিটির �shy;ারপ্রাপ্ত স�shy;াপতি লেখক সাংবাদিক শাহরিয়ার কবির বলেন, হেফাজতের দাবি বাস্তবায়ন করা মানে দেশকে আফগানিস্তান ও পাকিস্তানী তালেবান রাষ্ট্রে পরিণত করা। সরকার হেফাজতের সঙ্গে আপোস করলে দেশের সর্বনাশ ডেকে আনবে। জনগণ ও দেশের নিরাপত্তা থাকবে না। তিনি বলেন, ইসলামের নামে জঙ্গীবাদকে মেনে নেয়া যাবে না। ইসলাম শান্তির ধর্ম ছিল ও থাকবে। তবে মওদুদীর ইসলাম বাস্তবায়ন করতে দেয়া যাবে না। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য আআমস আরেফিন সিদ্দিক বলেন, ১৩ দফা দাবি ২০১৩ সালের রাজনীতির বাস্তবতা এবং মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনার বিরুদ্ধে। এটি দেশকে পেছনে �nbsp;েলে দেয়ার চিন্তা। ৩০ লাখ শহীদের রক্তের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বাংলাদেশে এ ধরনের দাবি উত্থাপনেরই সুযোগ নেই, মেনে নেয়ার তো প্রশ্নই আসে না। বিবিসি বাংলাদেশ সংলাপে অংশ নিয়ে এ দাবি অগ্রহণযোগ্য বলে উল্লেখ করেছেন সরকারের তথ্যমন্ত্রী হাসানুল হক ইনু। অন্যদিকে ১৩ দফা নিয়ে তীব্র অসন্তোষ ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে নারী সমাজসহ সাংবাদিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক অঙ্গনের ব্যক্তিদের মাঝে। জাসদের স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য শিরিন আখতার রবিবার জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবের সামনে আয়োজিত প্রতিবাদ সমাবেশে বলেছেন, হেফাজতের ১৩ দফা দাবি অবৈধ। কারণ, এ সকল দাবি স্বাধীনতা, সংবিধান ও নারী অধিকারের সঙ্গে সাংঘর্ষিক। সম্মিলিত সাংস্কৃতিক জোটের স�shy;াপতি নাসির উদ্দিন ইউসুফ বাচ্চু বলেন, বিরোধী দলীয় নেত্রী খালেদা জিয়া হেফাজতে ইসলামের সমাবেশে সংহতি জানিয়ে পুরো নারী সমাজকে অবমাননা করেছেন। বিরোধীদলীয় নেত্রীর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে তিনি বলেন, আপনি হেফাজতে ইসলাম ত্যাগ করুন এবং মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পক্ষের শক্তিকে সহযোগিতা করুন। ডাকসুর সাবেক �shy;িপি মাহফুজা খানম স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর প্রতি তীব্র নিন্দা জানিয়ে বলেন, স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর উচিত ছিল, হেফাজতের সমাবেশের ধিক্কার জানানো। কিন্তু এর পরিবর্তে তিনি হেফাজতে ইসলামকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন। স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী চট্টগ্রামে ১৪৪ ধারা জারি করলেন। কিন্তু শাপলা চত্বরে কেন ১৪৪ ধারা জারি করলেন না, এর জবাবও জাতি চায়। নারী সাংবাদিকদের ওপর হেফাজতের হামলাকারীদের গ্রেফতার ও বিচার দাবি করে মাহফুজা খানম বলেন, অন্যথায় নারী সমাজ লাখ লাখ নারীকে এক করে সমাবেশ করবে। অ�shy;িনয় শিল্পী রোকেয়া প্রাচী বলেন, যদি ১৩ দফা মানতে হয়, তবে সেনাবাহিনীতে যে নারী সদস্যরা রয়েছেন, তাদেরও বোরখা পরতে হবে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও বিরোধী দলীয় নেত্রীকে রাজনীতি ছেড়ে বোরখা পরে ঘরে ফিরে যেতে হবে। গণজাগরণ মঞ্চের সেøাগান কন্যা শারমিন আক্তার লাকি বলেন, আজ নারীরা হিমালয় পর্বত জয় করছেন। আর হেফাজত চায়. নারীকে গৃহবন্দী করতে।
