Sadly the unity council is presenting the whole situation as some kind of "Religious riot". I am afraid politics has more to do with it. If we feel we need "President Obama" is solve our issues, we should include the "Biggest issue" of all, our political "Deadlock" in Bangaldesh. Since our political leadership took a very inflexible attitude and the WHOLE country is suffering for it.

As I have said it again and again, if our government starts punishing people (After due process) for such crimes, we'll see significant reduction in crimes in our country.

This is a very sensitive and important issue. I have mentioned before and I remind (And request) leadership of "Unity council" to take Bangladeshi Muslims with you. There are tons of Muslims who are speaking up against violence in Bangladesh.

'প্রেসিডেন্ট ওবামা বাংলাদেশের হিন্দু-সহ সংখ্যালঘুদের বাচান'-এ শ্লোগানের মধ্যে দিয়ে হিন্দু-বৌদ্ভ-ক্রিস্টানদের এক বিশাল সমাবেশ হবে বুধবার, ১০ই এপ্রিল ২০১৩ দুপুরে ওয়াশিংটনে হোয়াইট হাউজের সামনে। প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশীদের ইতিহাসে কর্মদিবসে এতবড় সমাবেশ ইতিপূর্বে হয়নি। বাংলাদেশ হিন্দু-বৌদ্ভ-ক্রিস্টান ঐক্য পরিষদ, ইউএসএ এ সমাবেশের আয়োজন করবে। সহযোগিতায় আরো দুই ডজন সংগঠন। নিউইয়র্ক থেকে ১০টি বাস যোগে প্রায় ৬০০ লোক; আটলান্টিক সিটি ; ওয়াশিংটন; ভার্জিনিয়া; ম্যারিল্যান্ড; পেনসিলভানিয়া; নিউজার্সী; ফিলাডেলফিয়া; লসএঞ্জেলস; আটলান্টা থেকে হিন্দুরা যোগ দেবে। এতে সর্বমোট প্রায় ১হাজার মানুষ অংশ নেবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। এরআগে সকাল থেকে দুপুর পর্যন্ত ঐক্য পরিষদ-এর একটি প্রতিনিধিদল হোয়াইট হাউজে একটি স্মারকলিপি ও তথ্য-প্রমানাদি হস্তান্তর করবে। ২৫ পাতার রঙিন এ দলিলে সংখ্যালঘু নির্যাতনের বিশদ বর্ণনা রয়েছে।
