[ALOCHONA] Forget China, the real threat is Chinusa

Forget China, the real threat is Chinusa

Finally, the prime minister has spoken. Today, Manmohan Singh said a few things about China's aggression, growth, and values, etc. Since the prime minister decided to make this statement in Washington, it's clear who he is talking to and why he is talking now. Last week, President Obama, while in Beijing, gave China the role of monitor over South Asia: to keep an eye on India-Pakistan relations and tensions and all that jazz. Now, Manmohan Singh seems to be telling Obama that he made a mistake and that India could be a better partner than China. The prime minister may have his reasons to be optimistic.

The first reason could be the sealing of the nuclear deal with the US. The second: G-20 replacing G-7 as the world's most elite club, and India is a member of G-20. This might have given us an illusion of getting closer to the sole superpower in the world and the possibility of a place in G-5 (the five permanent members of the UN security council).

The truth is nothing matters anymore. All the elite clubs – G-20, G-7, G-77, G-5 – are totally irrelevant. There is only one group – G-2 – that matters. And the members of this group are China and US. Let's call it 'Chinusa'. Chinusa is dictating the terms, telling the world what to do. And everything else – Chindia and Chi-pak – is secondary and subservient to 'Chinusa'.

This may sound far-fetched because the only thing we hear about is the great rivalry between the US and China. People have been talking about a bipolar world and the restart of the Cold War again. This time the two poles being US and China. But the fact is unlike the Cold War days, when US and USSR were not only ideologically opposed to each other, they had no relations – political, business, cultural, sports, etc. with each other. The US and USSR had created two separate universes on this planet – east and west – and they ruled their spheres, while trying to destabilise the other.

Compare this with the present situation. Both China and US believe in one ideology: unbridled capitalism. They are each other's biggest trading partners.
In fact, they are caught in a mutual hostage situation. China's growth depends on US imports and US economy depends on strong Chinese foreign reserve because China holds around $800 billion in US treasury bonds.  But it will be naïve to imagine that the US treasury bonds is the basis of growing US-China partnership.

While we were deluding ourselves with Chindia (that China and India will call the shots in the future) and hetting paranoid about Chi-Pak (China and Pakistan are encircling India from two sides), US and China forged a new relationship. And the basis of this relationship is: that they will have their spheres of influence – east, south east and south Asia and Africa for China; and Europe and Latin America for the US. So, it was not just a coincidence that Obama gave China the role of monitor in South Asia. This week, Iranian president Ahmadinejad is going to Brazil and the US has expressed its displeasure with the visit. China has been silent because Latin America falls in US area of influence.

And as far as encircling India is concerned, it's just not China which is doing that. The US army is already in Afghanistan. Maybe it will move into Pakistan soon. They are moving closer to us every day.

So, what's in store for India? The only option available to India is junior partnership with both US and China. We can only have a buyer-seller ties with them. They sell and we buy. They sell their nuclear reactors and fighter jets and bankrupt companies to us and we save their economy with our hard cash. It's the same situation with China.

India is trapped from both sides. Because we didn't anticipated the rise of Chinusa, we didn't prepare for the situation when the world's two biggest economies will join hands to manipulate everyone else. At the moment, there is no other option but to play second fiddle to both US and China.  Our delusion of playing China against the US and vice-versa or becoming a counter weight to China in Asia is dangerous. The US doesn't need any counter weight. It has already struck a deal with China. From WTO to climate to nuclear weapons, now all future deals will be done and dictated by Chinusa.

The prime minister shouldn't be talking about China in US. That's a mistake. We should be thinking about Chinusa (No I am not talking about the women of Asian origin with light skin). I am talking about the new global monster. That's the real threat to India.

[ALOCHONA] Border with Bangladesh to be fenced by 2010: BSF

Border with Bangladesh to be fenced by 2010: BSF

Agartala: Work on fencing the India-Bangladesh border has been stepped up and is expected to be completed by March 2010, Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Raman Srivastava said on Tuesday.

WIRED AND SEPARATED: BSF soldiers guard the India border. (file photo)

"The barbed wire fencing would be very effective to check trans-border movement of terrorists, infiltration and border crimes," said Srivastava in Agartala.

According to a Union Home Ministry report, 3,437 km border of the total 4,095 km India-Bangladesh border was to be fenced by March 2010. Work has so far been completed along a 2,800-km stretch and construction on the remaining portion is on.Srivastava also said the BSF is ready for joint operations with state security forces to battle terrorists in the northeast.

"If the governments of northeastern states want, the BSF is ready to carry out joint anti-insurgency operations to curb militancy in the region," he said.

Now the paramilitary Assam Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force assist the state forces in most of the terrorist hit northeastern states. The army has also been deployed in a few states including Assam and Manipur.

The BSF chief said: "With the deployment of additional BSF troopers, the number of border outposts would be increased and many outposts would be relocated to further tighten vigil along India's border with Bangladesh."

To maintain effective vigilance on the border, the distance between border posts will be cut from the present 4.5 km to 2.8 km, keeping in mind the region's topography.

"Owners of houses and farmland of Indians which fall outside the fencing would get identity cards from the BSF or the appropriate authority for their trouble-free movement," Srivastava added.

Five states--West Bengal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Assam and Tripura--share the 4,095-km border with Bangladesh. These include a 2,979-km land border and 1,116 km of riverine. Among the states, Tripura shares 856 km, Meghalaya 443 km, Mizoram 318 km and Assam 263 km of border with Bangladesh.

[ALOCHONA] Bangladesh/Failed/State

Yeah but BD could be only as good as next JehaaDi Paki ISI-backed  coup de tat or secret supply of shiploads of Weapons to BD JehaaDis. BD JehaaDis may go to Pakistan and learn from Pak Army, how to build IUDs & IEDs just like Taliban have been taught.
Presently, Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq 5 of the 44 (or 11.36% of) Moslim Countries can defintely be called unstable, where bombs explode killing people, a lot of people are displaced or slaughtered.
This is not the case of with countries of any other Religion so, in order to avoid become another casualty of Islamic World, in BD, we must crush crazy Inhumane Foreign Paki Agent Islamists and their Supporters the logical sounding Islamists, pretending to be 'Moderate' Moslims.
We need to declare BD a Securlar or Secular Socialistic country like countries in Europe and then, we need to amend BD Constitution declaring any Conspiracy of an Islamist Group, Army or any move by a Political Party towards passing obsolete 7th Century Shriyah Law, Treason against the state.

Re: [ALOCHONA] Bangladesh/Failed/State

Dear alochok Devdas,
No one can deny we have some problem in BD.
However if we compare what goes on in Myanmer, Pakistan, Nepal and
India. We should feel good. India alone makes us look good. Such nasty
situation with racist media, caste system, maoist issues etc teaches us
"What to avoid" in our motherland.
If we unite and stand firm for our country, we can improve. I have no
doubt!

Subject: [ALOCHONA] Bangladesh/Failed/State

The tone in the BNP/ Jamaat supported  media outlet coverage of
Bangladesh has increasingly become apocalyptic. Folks, armageddon is
just around the corner. Imam Mehdi is set to return on 12th of April,
2012 to save the Hizbullah faction of BNP from the inferno of their own
making. Talk about  'Desher Bhab-Murti' !! Chickens are  coming home to
roost. The culture of indemnity and impugnity promulgated by the
anti-liberation forces with the massacre of Bongobondhoo and his
family, is finally paying rich dividend. Bongobondhoo's cherished dream
of building the foundation of the nation on the basis of a secular
ideology, has gone up in the smokes.  The proliferation of the Islamic
extremism and fundamentalism has been well documented. It is tearing
the very fabric of the nation apart. Everybody in Bangladesh knows that
the new generation of Bangladeshi militants are more lethal than the
Naxalities in India. The slaves of Allah will go to any length to
impose the 'Nizam-e-Shari-e-Tay Muhammadee' on the nation by any means
necessary. Today eleven officers were removed from the Army—including
two generals for their involvement in the grenade attack on Awami law
maker barrister Taposh. Folks, what is going on here? What else can
describe this convoluted thinking? Imminent demise of Awami led
government is inevitable via another 1/11?  The nation must ask, why
the army officers are  getting involved in the politics of the country?
If you look around, all the failed states are Muslim states—I ask you
to do some soul searching and some serious self-introspection. Muslim
states have to be propped up by loans to buy the guns from the
infidels---proppedup by money from Kafirlands--- proppedup by borrowing
secondary knowledge from the infidels? Folks let's face it-- it is the
poverty  that causes these states to become failed states. In our case,
we are not only physically and materially poor--but also spiritually
bankrupt. The UBL's ultimately dream is to see one failed state after
another so that he can  impose the will of  Allah to 'save' the mankind
from the world gone mad. I say, now is the time for Allah to show his
courage and generosity and shower his slaves with unearned income i.e.,
oil, gas, and gold---otherwise, they are destined to join the exclusive
fraternitiy of 'failed states'.

[ALOCHONA] Mujib was a little Hitlar

Aslam son;
I feel sorry for you, you maybe crying for your dad for more than 3 decades. Mujib was a nazi and coward all along. Mujib was a puti mach when he was carassing under Shorwardi. His caliber as a student - he got 3rd division in BA. Do you know Mujib's son : prince Seikh Kamal? Seikh Kamal was a obscene. Do you know the story of Major Dalim's wife? Seikh kamal harassed Dalim's wife and tried to rape her! So, he paid his price!

Do you remember Athlete Sulatana of Dhaka University? Lompot Seikh Kamal forcefully married her, and Mujib spent lavishly while poor women were selling their bodies in the street, dying out of hunger! Seikh Kamal is the biggest criminal son of Mujib, he looted money from Bangladesh bank, crores of money was looted.

Siraj Sikdar, the great comrade, a man of ideology, can not stand with Mujib's autrocoity and poor villagers dying of humger. So he resisted Muib's hitlari might! you say, comrade siraj killed people? What about Mujib? Did not he killed his opponent too? No justice for Siraj? It can not happen, Mujib should be hanged for his crime!

What Muib has done really? I see no good, Mujib is a evil, he is a curse for bangladesh!

Roll the tape in 1975, people cheered when they heard Mujib was dead. Can you believe it? No one could, maybe you can't still believe it. Because, people like you worshipping mujibs, while millions of others were dying of hunger. in 1974, there was no food, no rice, not even salt. Nothing! Is this what we faught for? Once the poor woman raped by Pakis, now in 74, these woman again raped by hunger and selling their bodies for one taka. Mujib is the biggest criminal in the history of bangladesh. Mujib is a curse! Mujib's rule is a total failure.

Is this what we wanted from Mujib? 'Mujib was dreaming to be a Bongeshor, he already killed democracy in bangladesh, Formed - one party one leader, Seikh Mujib, BAKSAL. you know Aslam son, history is very cruel, just  the day before Mujib will be Ishor of bangla, he just kicked the bucket. No more bongeshor, no one cried, people were cheering with Col Farooque.

Aslam son, you maybe happy that Hasina is going to fasi all the brave sons of bangla to free from a Nazi Dicatator of Mujib, after 30 years. Just wait another 30 years, clock may turn against you, hasina/rehana may face same fate like her father, justice will be served on the same plate hasina is doing!

What Mujib has done to bangladesh? He fuked the country so bad, not even rajakars did tht even! Mujib even worse than rajakars, he was a Dictator Hitlar. Bangla folks spitted on Mujib on 1975, Mujib is dead, he is laying with Hitlar now.

Mujib was not a great leader, not his life time. Remember 1974? Death by hunger, a gift from Mujib? Mujib was in a killing spree of comrade of Siraj. Muib thought he can built heaven in bangla. Well, he paid his price by sucking to death. Mujib was so arrogant, he wanted to the God of bangla, 'Bongeshor'.

Aslam son, your dad Mujib is dead, you can not deny Mujib wasa Dictator, you can not deny feminine in 74, you can not deny Mujib killed thousands of people. Mujib is a curse for the Bangla.

Nascent democratic process? You mean the promulgation of one
party rule, declaring himself the life long president of that
one party, banning all newspapers except four toeing party
line, raising a private militia force to suppress opposition,
that's nascent democratic process? Balists must have a very
  peculiar definition of democracy.

Nascent secularism? You mean establishing Madrasha Board and
Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh Seerat Mission, allocating land
for Tablig Jamaat at Tongi, handing over Kakrail Mosque and
its adjacent lands to Tablig Jamaat and registering three
acres of land to Baitul Mukarram mosque and joining a religion
based organization OIC, enacting laws banning gambling and
import and sale of liquor. (because they violate Sunna).
Balists must have a very peculiar definition of secularism.

(We now see the fruits of that. Islamic foundation has been
the breeding ground for Islamic movements in BD. Millions
throng Tongi Ijtema river causing great danger to environment
and the security of Dhaka, costing Taxpayers millions to
support it. Baitul Mukarram mosque has since then beocme a
hotbed of Islamic extremism, something unheard of in Pakistan
  days.)

>It was he, who envisioned the progress of Bangladesh under a
>parliamentary democracy that is devoid of theocracy and
>militarism.

Parliamentary democracy? Must have been very bitter pill to
swallow for him. One party rule, life long president. how
sweet it sounded to him. Devoid of theocracy?. No governmemt
ever had been a theocracy in pakistan before Mujib. So what
was there for Mujib to envision. Besides never envision
secularism during his active political life. He opposed the
move by Bhashani to drop the "Muslim" from Awami Muslim
League in 1955, but Bhashani was the president of AL so
that move prevailed. There is no credentials fo Mujib as a
champion of secualrism ever. The secualrism clause was
thrusted on AL by the leftists students leaders during the
    final days of mass movements.

>The recent rise of Islamic terrorists under the patronization of
>Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-I-Islami (JI) is
>the result of Pakistanization done by Gen. Zia.

Wrong. What does Pakistanization mean? Pakistan was never a
theocracy. It's constitution had just a mention of an Islamic
republic (Added by Chaudhury Muhammad Ali, a civilian, not a
military man). In 1962, Ayub Khan, a military leader even
dropped "Islamic" from the name. Of course under pressure
from civilians members it had to be restored. But in civilian
life Pakistan was very much like India, no trace of
Islamization was visible. Maududi/Jamat never got elected nor
public support in Pakistan. Maududi was even given a death
sentence by a MILITARY court in 1955 for fomenting anti
Ahmadya unrest. Can Hasina dare to do similar thing to the
leader of the anti Ahmadya group in BD?

So what did Zia do to Pakistanize (Whatever that means)
Bangladesh. Let me ask what did Zia do between 1975-81
that could be said to be Islamization( Or even if he did
that it surpassed Mujib's Islamization mentioned above).

Islamization of Pakistan started with Gen Ziaul Huq.
And in BD Islaimization started with Ershad (although
tame compared to Ziaul Huq's brand). But Awamists always
blame Ziaur Rahman for that, Not Ershad, because Zia's BNP
offered a viable alternative to AL and got elected in power.
Ershad or JP never posed AL any challenge, so the real
culprit for Islamization of BD not only gets spared, but
AL even allied with this man several times to defeat BNP.

Of course one must admit that present BNP (I call it BNP3,
BNP1 being Ziaur Rahman's BNP between 1977-81, and BNP2 being
Khaleda Zia's BNP between 1991-96, these three versins of BNP
are very different in nature so needs to be distinguished in
any discussion), by allying with Jamat contributed further to
the Islamization rather than curtain it. But it is AL who has
to get the blame. It was AL that first hobnobbed with Jamat
back in 1994 and 1996 to defeat BNP. BNP2 was not allied with
Jamat then, in fact was very much anti Jamat then. AL saw an
election leverage in allying Jamat's alliance to defeat BNP.
So no wonder BNP emulated AL and of cousre when an example
is followed it is done with greater zeal to surpass the
example. But to crown it all, Hasina's AL allied with the
radical Islamist Khilafat Majlish. How can Awamist clear
that dark blemish? It is unobliterable.
