[ALOCHONA] Re: BSF, BDR trade gunshots

Wow! We are so lucky! Thank God the Indians kidnapped our Deshi idiot AFTER Hasina collected the Indira Gandhi Peace Prize in Delhi! Otherwise it might have been embarassing!

Oi BSF! Use rubber bullets on Deshis - save your real ammo for your Western border. You need it there. We Deshis are willing to sleep with you for free as long as you allow the smuggling to continue.

[ALOCHONA] Re: Daily Star, traffic jam and KFC-PizzaHut

Yup. And soon McDonalds will be the destination of choice for young and middle aged Bangladeshi progressives.

We wish McDonalds great success and look forward to billboards advertising a student enjoying a Big Mac as he takes a break from his patriotic duties in student violence.

We look forward to the DeshiMac, spiced up with a dash of jolpai achaar, and wrapped in green and red paper.

In Bangladesh patriotism sells.

And is sold.

[ALOCHONA] Re: [khabor.com] ANARCHY IN SHIBIR !!!

Ramjan bhai

I can match you in praising the better intentions of Shibbir. That part is easy.

The hard part is dealing with the reality on the ground.

Are you saying Shibbir never killed anyone for politcial reasons?

[ALOCHONA] Re: Fourteen years of Farakka Barrage:Mighty Padma turns into desert

India isn't complaining. Why should we?

After all India helped us in 1971. India'r shathe amra parbo na ki?

And so if we lose the Padma its okay. Its realpolitik Deshi style.

If India attacked us half of us would refuse to fight because India helped us in 1971 and India'r shathe parajabena. Nationalism is about walking barefoot once a year and having wet dreams about singing on stage.

We are losing the damn Padma. And no one gives a damn.

Just big talk about history.

Our nation conducts its affairs as a eunuch tries to make babies.

[ALOCHONA] Re: Sahara Khatun: Fast joining the rank of worst home ministers

Come on Mo! Why do you have to use such crass words? Crass language does not require crass words. What is the point of using up valuable time and space with such words? You are entitled to stand against AL in the strongest possible sense. You are not alone are you? But you diminish your opinion by using such words. Why do that?

I did not know Khatu Bibi was Hasina's cousin. Thats an important fact if true. But the value of that fact is lost in the tone of your message. I write emotionally often but it is deliberate and contrived. Emotion is a powerful tool when trying to enter the minds of an emotional opponent. But simple namecalling can be easily ignored by anyone.

So is Sahara the cousin of Hasina? In which way?

[ALOCHONA] Politicised administration

Politicisation of bureaucracy must go

Report on 'State of Public Admn: 2009'

Politicisation of the bureaucracy deprives people of getting services from the public administration. It should not be allowed to go on further for the sake of dynamism in the administration, revealed by the report on 'State of Public Administration: 2009' yesterday.

It has been proved that the ruling party usually prefers to politicise the public administration process, it said. The administration should be pro-people and service-oriented. Appointment on contractual basis should be discouraged for the sake of dynamism in the administration. At present 251 officials were made officer on special duty (OSD), it said at a function at the National Press Club.

Neeti Gobeshona Kendro (NGK) prepared the report. Prof Muzaffar Ahmad presided over the discussion.Prof Salauddin Ahmed and Prof Mobasher Monem of Dhaka University and Abu Syed Khan, Managing Editor of the daily Samokal, among others, were present.

The report suggests that the promotion in the public administration should be on the basis of merit, seniority and efficiency of the civil bureaucrats rather than political allegiance. The findings of the report shows that the promotion now turns into a 'panic' to non-partisan and professional civil servants.

It also found excessive promotion against available posts was causing huge cost of public exchequer. Irregularities, nepotism and favouritism on political ground have been marked in the promotion process of the civil administration.

Bangladesh needs a civil service of high quality and integrity for establishing good governance and push the country toward development. And it is necessary to establish an effective bureaucracy to digitise the country by 2021, it said.

The report observes that the government's initiatives to formulate 'Civil Service Act', time befitting pay scale and introduction of e-governance system are among the positive steps to make the administration functional and accountable.

The recommendations of the report are depoliticisation of bureaucracy, rethinking of contractual induction, establishment of fair promotion system, re-defining of the role and responsibilities of the Ministry of Establishment and implementation of most suitable recommendations of administrative reform commission.

[ALOCHONA] Shibir activists in BCL !

Editorial

What has the AL been doing then?

Awami League general secretary, Syed Ashraful Islam, has come up with the startling revelation that none other than the Shibir followers have infiltrated deep into the BCL's top ranks and are responsible for the ongoing violence in the educational institutions. At the same time, leaders of the 14-party alliance have expressed their concern over the BCL activities characterised by some morally and legally indefensible pursuits. We are left wondering as to where does the truth lie! While we appreciate the candour, we are patently alarmed by the contents of the statements, particularly that of Ashraful Islam.

The AL general secretary has announced what sounds like an expedient dodging of responsibility: the BCL is no longer the student wing of the AL, in an apparent reference to the RPO provision that does not allow for associate bodies of political parties. However, the widely held view on the issue is that the 'estrangement' of the BCL from the ruling party, as claimed, is more a reflection of distancing from what is now considered a liability by the AL. At best, it is an absurd public posturing with a manifest abdication of responsibility towards the BCL! At worst, it amounts to disowning the activities of the young followers of the party who reportedly have patrons among its leaders.

Nevertheless, the claim of Shibir infiltration will give rise to some pertinent questions. Is the BCL's defense mechanism so loose and so poorly supervised that known Shibir elements could make inroads into its heart so easily? Obviously, it is not enough to call the undesirable elements infiltrators. The claim has to be substantiated with solid evidence and even if it is found to be true, it has to be explained how the Shibir supporters could accomplish such a feat! Furthermore, their collaborators within the BCL need to be weeded out if the statement is true.

All this is incredible. The question now is what have the AL leaders been doing all this time when the BCL got infected by a Shibir malcontent. Leaving the job of purging the bad fellows to the BCL if Ashraful's allegation is to be accepted is a clear-cut shirking of responsibilities that belong to the AL, more so because of its having allowed a free rein to the BCL. The attempt to divert attention from core responsibility of the ruling party and to dismiss everything by putting forward disingenuous arguments can indeed be counter-productive. Worse still, it can erode authority of the government, which will be a heavier price to pay.

[ALOCHONA] Re: AL GOVT. IS VERY SOFT AND LIBERAL !!!

Dear Readers:

AL Government always likes to play double games. This government is cruel to the Bangladeshi Patriots (BNP, Jamat and Anti-Indian Awami League) to please India while it acts as liberal to them make happy to the Middle East and Western countries.

This government wants to earn foreign currencies by sending people to the Middle Eastern countries in the name of Muslim brotherhood while worshiping Indian Government to diminish "Islam" religion from Bangladesh in a secret planned way.

[ALOCHONA] Jamaat-Shibir trademark killing dateline Rajshahi University

Fascist Jamaat-E-Islami and its terrorist student organisation Islami Chattro Shibir has engaged in killing spree since 1971 during our liberation war, the most up-to-date killing that took place in Rajshahi University killing Chatro League worker Farque Hossain (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Hilarajiun).

Yesterdays trademark killing at Rajshahi University by Jamaat-E-Islami backed Islami Chattro Shibir (during liberation war Shibir was known as Islami Chhatra Sangha) send a clear signal of their involvement with many other recent killing. During BDR bloodbath, Army officers was brutally killed and then their body was dumped into the manhole to conceal their crime, similarly after killing Farque Hossain a student of Rajshahi University Shibir cadre dumped his body into manhole yesterday.

Jamaat-E-Islami trademark killing during liberation war were victims eyes blindfolded, hands tied on the back and then dumped into water to conceal crime against humanity. .

হত্যার à¦ÂªÃ ¦° ম্যানহোলে ফেলে দেà¦

Rajshahi University witnessed the same Jamaati trademark killing style. Dead body of Farque Hossain was dumped into manhole to conceal their crime.

Every killer follows a style of killing which becomes his trademark. Resemblance of trademark killing style of Jamaat leaded Al Badar, Al Shams razakar during liberation war especially Intellectual Killing at the last leg of our liberation war was vivid during BDR carnage as well as yesterdays Rajshahi University student killing.

Scores of students tendons (vain) was cut with the intention of killing them slowly following medieval belligerence doctrine of intolerance that Jamaat-E-Islami follows.

In the name of Islam Chatro Shibir (during liberation war Shibir was known as Islami Chhatra Sangha) and its parent organisation Jamaat-E-Islam has engaged in not just murder but also lot of other crimes under different banner. Jamat-e-Islami operates in Bangladesh under the banners that is not limited to but include a students wing called Islami Chatro Shibir, Farmers Welfare Association, Dhaka Cultural Centre, Uccharon Artistes Association, Islamic Welfare Society and Simoom Artistes Association. The clandestine but parallel outfits that are part of Jamat-e-Islami's organizational structure include Harkatul Jihad, Jamatul Mujahideen, Jagroto Muslim Janata and so on. They are operating in the same manner as they did during the liberation war in 1971 under different nomenclatures e.g. Rajakar, Al Badr, Al Shams and etc. Jamaat also engaged in business from Narcotics to financial market (Bank, life insurance..) to health sector (Ibna Sinah).

Time has come when Bangladesh must discard the religious traders who are trying to make Bangladesh another Afghanistan . Until 9/11 Jamaat-E-Islami slogan was Amra Hobo Taliban- Bangla Hoba Afghan which they stopped saying openly but anchored in their dream.

In last national election, people of Bangladesh has spoken and gave popular mandate to present government to bring Jamaat-E-Islami leaders those who committed genocide, war crime and crime against humanity (murder, rape, arson, looting etc). Since then Jamaat-E-Islami is hatching one after another conspiracy to put impediment so that government will not ne able to continue its effort to bring them under law of the land to try them as war criminal.

Insha Allah, people of Bangladesh will be victorious against any and all-anti Bangladeshi element as we have won against Pakistan and its killer companion Jamaat-E-Islami and Islami Chatro Shibir AKA Islami Chhatra Sangha during our glorious liberation war.
