"I do NOT think anyone asked anyone for any reward here."
The motive was not explicit but only implicit one! You wanted to be proud of some thing that is totally worthless and irrelevant.
While US/China are exploring the next frontier of Science and Space, you still intend to goof around with your desert camels? And, that solves all your problems? Good luck!

NO one is saying we don't need to feed people or educate people. In last 40 years Bangladesh made huge progress in literacy and economy. Despite many obstacles we likely to continue as well. Religion has NOTHING against such progress.
Actually I did not make any "Arguments" at all. I simply SHARED a fact of life. I am amazed why some of our respected members are so paranoid to entertained a different point of view?
This kind of attitude will force you to invade another advanced country like US/China and force them to work for you?

This is a SIMPLE academic discussion and million light years away from any imaginary invasion of any country. I like both US and China as nations and NEVER even imagined anything close to it.

OK, we have preserved messages from a religious book for centuries and now, we need be to rewarded for that great achievement? But, we can't feed or educate our people and that is perfectly all right? Our religious book is our best legacy? For what good? Sorry, these are very poor arguments for any progress or solution.

"Thus it is a "Miracle" that despite massive colonizations and lack of education, Muslims were able to kept their holy book unaltered and saved in it's original form. NO other (Advanced or backward) religious communities can make that claim!!"

You can keep drinking this cool aide for another century and be happy! And, you won't change your situation at all. This kind of attitude will force you to invade another advanced country like US/China and force them to work for you? Is that the plan? Good luck! Therefore, Quran still remains unaltered does not prove anything. It appears that - the writer of this article, as well as you, are trying to pass a flawed argument as a valid one, and feeling good about it. I am sorry, I can't buy it.

Naturally most advanced communities have most technical know how about preservation. It would be LOGICAL if they were able to keep their holy books unaltered but that is not the case. Beside Muslims (People who follow Islam as religion) no other communities can make that claim.
For example, the holy Veda cannot be changed but according to Vivekananda/bibekananda most of it were lost and authenticity of some Vedas can be questioned.
I am not sure why it is a "Flawed" argument. It would be helpful to be specific about my perceived "Flaw".
It is normal for backward country like Bangladesh or Nigeria to have flawed democratic system and it is "Normal" for advanced countries to have more mature and stable democratic system (France, USA or Canada).
Thus it is a "Miracle" that despite massive colonizations and lack of education, Muslims were able to kept their holy book unaltered and saved in it's original form. NO other (Advanced or backward) religious communities can make that claim!!
Hope this will make a little more sense. I am talking about "Unique" quality of the holy Qur'an here.
It is also interesting to note that, God said He will preserve His book and so far it has been preserved perfectly!

"Because people today still get inspiration from Aristotle, Socrates and Kalidas." That's because nobody is claiming that – writings of Kalidas or Aristotle have predictions for most of the modern scientific inventions, we see today. "Arguably Muslims are one of the more backward communities in the world and they were able to keep their holy revelation UNALTERED. However NO other advanced communities were able to do the same. All other books were altered by men (Most of the time it is men not women)." Quran remains unaltered, because it's forbidden to do so. Tell me - who will bell the cat, under this circumstance? You are right - other advanced societies are searching for the authenticity of their holy-books; that's the sign of a mature progressive society. But, as you said, Islamic societies are still backward, and such discussions cannot occur in the backward society; you need an advanced mature society to open such discussion. Therefore, Quran still remains unaltered does not prove anything. It appears that - the writer of this article, as well as you, are trying to pass a flawed argument as a valid one, and feeling good about it. I am sorry, I can't buy it. Jiten Roy
